Prices: The entry model is the 1.4 S, at £9,990. Stepping up to the 1.6 engine always costs £700, trim-for-trim, and to the 1.5-litre diesel a further £300. The price jump between each trim level is always £1,000, giving a final bill for the flagship 1.5 SVE diesel of £12,990. Automatic transmission is a £700 option, available only on the 1.6-litre petrol car.

Vehicle Excise Duty and Insurance: The 1.5 diesel and 1.4 petrol are in Band C for Vehicle Excise Duty. The 1.6 petrol is in Band D. Insurance is Group 4E for the 1.4 petrol and 1.5 diesel, and Group 6E for the 1.6 petrol.

Carbon dioxide emissions: The 1.5 diesel emits 136g/km. Then come the 1.4 petrol (150) and the 1.6 petrol (156, 166 automatic).
