The Volkswagen Tiguan is available in four different models with a choice of eight possible engine configurations depending on the model. Whether you prefer petrol or diesel, there’s bound to be an engine choice to suit your specific needs.
Highlights include the petrol-powered 1.4 TSI 160PS 4MOTION, the 2.0 TSI 180PS 4MOTION and the diesel-powered 2.0 TDI 170PS 4MOTION.
There’s also a selection of BlueMotion Technology engines, the pick of which would have to be the Volkswagen Tiguan Escape’s 2.0 TDI 140PS 4MOTION. BlueMotion Technology features such systems as automatic stop/start and brake energy recuperation to help reduce fuel consumption and harmful emissions.
Transmission is a choice between 6 speed manual and the advanced 7 speed auto Direct Shift Gearbox.
