Alfa Romeo That You Can Have But Can’t Have

I think the phrase is “giving with one hand and taking away with the other.”

That’s what 2012’s ‘National Entrepreneur of the Year’, Robert Nunn, will have felt like as he was presented with his Alfa MiTo TwinAir, complete with a year’s cover thanks to ingenie, the car insurance brand for 17-25 year olds, at a graduation ceremony in Birmingham last week.

He will have to work a little harder to earn the keys to his Alfa MiTo TwinAir prize – because he can’t drive.

So, for those of his friends that will be popping round to his house to see his award on the mantelpiece, just next to that framed photo of him receiving his award, they’ll also be able to admire the car sat forlornly on his driveway.

But it’s not all bad news for the Peter Jones Enterprise Academy graduate from Chichester College, who pipped five other finalists from across the UK to the prestigious accolade of ‘National Entrepreneur of the Year.’ Because the big boss man at the Enterprise Academy, better known for his appearances on BBC’s Dragon’s Den, has promised to organise driving lessons so the young businessman can finally get his licence in the coming months.

Damien Dally, Head of Brand at Alfa Romeo UK said; ‘Rob has proven his worth as a young entrepreneur and a rising business star. Once he’s passed his driving test, he’s going to have a brilliant time behind the wheel of his Alfa MiTo TwinAir. Alfa Romeo is proud to be supporting such a worthwhile organisation as the Peter Jones Enterprise Academy. Congratulations to all the students on their graduation.’

It should be pointed out that Rob only has the “brand new Alfa MiTo fitted with the award winning two-cylinder TwinAir engine that guarantees a high level of responsiveness and agility with a significant reduction in emissions – just 98g/km of CO2” for a 12-month period. So let’s hope he passes first time then!

Rob is a graduate of The Peter Jones Foundation that operates a nationwide network of Enterprise Academies to teach young people how to be the entrepreneurs of tomorrow. As part of its on-going relationship with Peter Jones CBE, Alfa Romeo was sponsoring the Peter Jones Enterprise Academy’s National Entrepreneur of the Year Award.
