Autosport International 2013 Is Here!
Autosport International starts today at Birmingham’s NEC!
The show caters for every level of Motor Racing. So whether you enjoy wearing a flameproof suit whilst taking to the circuit in a cart or binging on every second of Formula 1 action, there’ll be something at Autosport International to float your boat.
If you’ll excuse the mixed metaphor.
The show is noteworthy for catering for fans and professionals alike. January 10-11 is exclusive for trade visitors, but the show opens for the public on January 12-13.
Let’s take a look at what’s on at this year’s Autosport International.
Some of the biggest names in Motorsport will be doing the rounds at the 2013 Autosport International. You can bask in their glory as they’re interviewed at the Autosport Stage and F1 Racing Grid; and some will even partake in Q&A sessions throughout the show!
This year’s star lineup includes Sir Jackie Stewart; Paul di Resta; Derek Bell; Jake Humphrey; Gordon Shedden; Rob Huff; Jake Dennis; Emanual Pirro; Johnny Herbert; Anthony Davidson; David Croft; David & Sam Brabham; Andy Priaulx and Allan McNish.

F1 Racing Grid
Brought to you by F1 Racing magazine and Sky Sports F1 HD, Autosport International 2013 will feature a unique Formula 1 display. A rare chance to see the incredible Formula 1 technology up-close in the wake of the 2012 season, the lineup includes Red Bull Racing’s RB8 as driven by Sebastian Vettel; Fernando Alonso’s Ferrari F2012 and Paul Di Resta’s Sahara Force India VJM05.
You can also expect to see every car that was victorious in a Grand-Prix during the 2012 season. The Vodafone McLaren; Mercedes MP4-27; Mercedes F1 W03; Lotus-Renault’s E20 and Williams’ FW34 will all be present.
The Rally Feature at Autosport International 2013 will focus on a tribute to 2001 World Rally Champion Richard Burns. Whilst looking back at his numerous professional achievements, the display will also feature some of his most famous rally cars.
Cars to be showcased include the Peugeot 205 GTI Group N; the Peugeot 309 GTI Group A; The Subaru Legacy Group N and the very car in which Richard won the 2001 World Championahip, Subaru Impreza WRC X20SRT.
Located in Hall 20, fans of classic and historical cars will be in their element at the Coys Auction. There you can bid for, amongst others, a Primrose yellow 1972 Jaguar E-Type Series 1 Roadster; a 1986 Austin Metro 6R4; a 1953 Jaguar XK120 Roadster; a 1935 BMW Typ. 309/328 Veritas and, best of all, Freddie Mercury’s Rolls Royce.

All auctioned cars will be on display throughout the four days of the event before going under the hammer on Saturday January 12.
Sir Jackie Stewart & His Cars
This year’s special feature at Autosport International will be a celebration of the career of Sir Jackie Stewart. Seven important machines from his sporting life will be on display. Taking centre-stage will be those cars in which he secured his three Formula 1 World Championships: the Matra MS80; the Tyrrell 003 and the Tyrrell 006.
Also featured will be the star of Stewart’s first ever Grand Prix victory – the BRM P261 – and the Stewart-Ford SF3.
