Following the successful launch of the 508 Saloon and SW earlier this year, Peugeot has unveiled their new edition to the 508 line-up – the Peugeot 508 RXH diesel-electric hybrid.
Featuring an elegant new design with distinctive LED lights and ‘floating’ new grille, the new Peugeot 508 RXH is set to take the high-end car market by storm when it’s released early next year, setting a new standard for ‘all-road’ capabilities.
The new top-of-the-range Peugeot 508 RXH is instantly recognisable thanks to its unique exterior design. Wider, higher and featuring a more refined style, the Peugeot 508 RXH boasts all-new distinctive LED day and night lights and a new ‘floating’ grille to give the appearance of three vertical lions claws on either side of the vehicle.
To reinforce its exclusive character, the interior of the Peugeot 508 RXH has been furnished with distinctive colours and luxurious materials. As expected from a top-end model, it’s also well-equipped with the latest technology including Peugeot’s Open & Go system, electric front seats, head up display, 18’’ wheels, panoramic glass roof, dark-tinted acoustic laminated side windows and the latest generation audio and satellite navigation unit.
Under the bonnet, the 508 RXH is equipped with a 2.0L Hdi FAP Hybrid4 drive train – first seen on the Peugeot 3008 Hybrid4 – which packs out an impressive 200 bhp and a maximum torque of 450 Nm. The four-wheel drive system has been designed to adapt to all use in all conditions while the ZEV 100% electric mode is ideal for driving around town, helping you save fuel and money. Fuel consumption figures are at an impressive 70.6mpg on a combined cycle with CO2 emissions at just 109g/km.
Keep your eyes peeled for the Peugeot RXH’s world premiere at the Frankfurt International Motor Show in September this year.
The Peugeot 508 RXH is expected to hit UK showrooms in Spring 2012.
