After an exciting selection process filled with countless contestants, we at Nationwide Vehicle Contracts are pleased to announce that John Hughes, Jackie Jackson, John David Gallett, Davina Williams, Vaughan Dee are the winners of the Footman James Classic Motor Show 2012 competition! Now attending the biggest and most popular classic car exhibition in the UK, these lucky winners got to see some of the rarest cars on the planet, participating in a show unlike any other. Lets take a quick peak at what these guys experienced, even if it's only to envy them.
Already hyped up by our resident car enthusiast Kevin in his fantastic homage to all things Footman James, the show greeted some 50,000 visitors between November 16th and 18th. It showcased over 1,500 cars and 350 classic motorcycles in 11 grand halls, allowing for viewings to take place all day Friday and Saturday morning, and a sale to take place Saturday afternoon.
The show was divided into the Meguiar’s Club Showcase, a display that brought together the best concours cars from club events, and the Footman James Classic Motorbike show, which featured a selection of stunning bike displays and Pride of Ownership concours. Both events took up some 500 trade stalls and offered wide selection of services and memorabilia for car enthusiast.
Seen as the ‘Grand Finale’ to the UK’s classic season, the show celebrated some truly fantastic cars. Those to note included a fantastic 1985 Porsche 944 Turbo which won the Independent Porsche Enthusiasts Best In Show award, Mk2Ford Capri winning the Capri Owners Club gold medal, and a Citroën D Super 5 which took home the Wildcard Club concours award. However, perhaps the most stunning was a wonderful £2.5 million Ferrari 250 SWB which won the Ferrari Concours Masterclass award.
While we gave out some fantastic tickets, those who weren’t lucky enough to get them shouldn't dispair, we’ll have plenty more giveaways in the months ahead. Just keep your eyes peeled on our website, Twitter, and Facebook pages, we've got some ideas that will make your engine roar!
