Isuzu were the darlings of this year’s Commercial Vehicle Show – attracting more visitors to their stand than ever before.

Indeed, the company gleefully reports having recorded over 250 “expressions of interest”for its all-new Isuzu D-Max pick-up, which was making its debut at the event.

What’s an “expression of interest”? Hell if I know. Is it where somebody’s eyebrows are raised in mild interest? Did Isuzu really have someone on their stand counting the amount of raised eyebrows on the forehead’s of passers-by?

In any case, the Isuzu D-Max pick-up is available in three bodystyles: single cab, extended cab (with rear-hinged side access panels double cab. What’s more, it’s available in four generously-equipped specification levels designed to ensure that it offers as much comfort and versatility as it does robust utility.

It also happens to be really quite fuel efficient with its 2.5-litre twin-turbo common-rail diesel engine at 163ps. It’s cabable of 38.2mpg (combined) with CO2 emissions at 194 g/km.

The Isuzu D-Max starts at £14,499 (CVOTR) for the entry-level Isuzu D-Max 4×2 single cab, finishing at £21,499 (CVOTR) for top-of-the-range Isuzu D-Max Utah 4×4 double cab automatic.
