Let the Audi do the Parking

a3 cabriolet blog Let the Audi do the ParkingAudi A3 Cabriolet is now fitted with the new Parallel Park Assist system.

The Audi A3 is one the most popular cars leased by Nationwide Vehicle Contracts with the cabriolet making up a large percentage. As part of a constant improvement of the Audi fleet the A3 Cabriolet has been fitted with the special Audi Parallel Park Assist.

When driving at speeds below 19 mph the system automatically assesses potential places using ultrasonic sensors measure longitudinal spaces. When a suitably sized space is clear the in-dash Driver Information System (DIS) will display the notification and when required take control. If the driver then engages reverse gear and touches the accelerator then the Parking Assist takes over.

Acceleration and braking are controlled by the driver for safety reasons but the steering is left under complete control of the car. In one swift manoeuvre the car will swing back into the space with rear parking sensors indicating the distance from the car behind.

Fitted as an optional extra this should soon be available to add to your lease vehicle soon. Ask one of our sales staff for more information. To see our range of Audi’s please follow the link below:

Hannah is a recent graduate from Manchester Metropolitan University where she got a degree in Mathematics. Doing such an intense degree meant that fun needed to be on the top of the agenda, stand up comedians were right up there at the top of the list to break the tension and relax Hannah whether it was on TV or live in the theatre it didn’t matter. Although, not traditional comedians the presenters of Top Gear keep Hannah laughing, whilst giving Hannah the opportunity to learn about cars. Growing up with 3 brothers forced Hannah into listening about cars, but it was only from working in a car showroom that Hannah learnt what people were talking about when they were talking in ‘car speak’.
