Newest Aston Martin In Production
Aston Martin has always been considered one of the top luxury vehicle makers. Many of their models have become classics, ushering in new styles and designs. Now prepared to offer something new, the British car company is gearing up to release its newest addition to the family: the V12 Zagato.
Coming with a £330,000 price tag, the vehicle certainly doesn’t come cheap. However, at that price you’ll be greeted with an assortment of tech goodies worthy of any supercar maker. Indeed, even the body panels will be made out of a hand-formed aluminum that was combined with carbon fibre. The inside is quite impressive as well, marked with bridge of Wier hides on the trim. The car even has an impressive hand embroidered “Z” on the headrests and read shelf.
The vehicle was first introduced in May 2011 at Villa d’Este conours where it won the Concept Cars and Prototype class award. After this the company decided to test it outside the showroom, entering it in the Nurburgring 24-hour endurance race in June that same here. Because of its success in these two events the company decided to make a limited run of the car.
Ulrich Bez, the chief executive of Aston Martin, has went on the record as saying that the car represents a celebration of Aston Martin’s heritage as well as its future. Indeed, he stated that the model has influences stretching back 50 years. He suggested that the DB4GT Zagato was an icon that captured the spirit of their time within its unique construction and he hopes to recreate it in our modern time.
Set for release later this year, Aston Martin has revealed that only 150 of the makes will be made at their Gaydon factory. Marek Reichman, the director of design in the factor, said that he started working nearly two years ago on the model. He wanted it to speak whole of the company’s history, fitting in nicely with the canon.
Aston Martin representatives have suggested that specifications related to the Zagato will be revealed at the Geneva Salon Internationale in March this year. It will certainly be interesting to see how well the car will perform given the impressive details already revealed.
