Audi A1 Master

In keeping with the summery mood sweeping the country at the moment (until the first drop of rain and it will be all gloom and doom again) Audi have introduced bright contrasting colour schemes and extra equipment for new A1 version that is positioned just between the S line and Black Edition. Available with selected petrol and TDI engines, the A1 S line Style Editions include around £2,200-worth of design and technology-oriented options for just a tad under a grand as premium extras; and these include some stunning colours.

The new S line Style Edition upgrade includes metallic or pearl-effect paint finishes in a choice of Ice Silver, Phantom Black, Misano Red or Glacier White colour schemes, all topped off and complemented nicely by a gloss black finish for the roof line in three-door versions, and a fully gloss black contrasting roof in Sportback models. And there are other car areas that can be ‘black-styled’ if so required for a touch more.

S line versions of the A1 are already exclusive, showing off some stylish treatment on the grille, side sills and bumpers, and when you get to the S line Style Edition versions this is demonstrated even m, and to want to be seen in.

And when it comes to passengers being impressed (as indeed you will be too) we are talking those finishing touches on the dashboard in either Misano Red or Glacier White (depending on the exterior colour) or in gloss black when Ice Silver or Phantom Black is chosen as an exterior option. The colours have been chosen to emphasise and show off the sporting nature of the car, and this is enhanced by not only the part-leather sports seats and three-spoke S line sports steering wheel but by the equipment list that the S Line boasts as standard: powered windows and mirrors, a split/folding rear seat, air conditioning, a Concert CD audio system incorporating an SD card reader linked to a 6.5-inch retractable display screen, a Bluetooth mobile phone interface and a Driver’s Information System – making the driving experience just that; an experience.

Backing up the new specification are 3 highly efficient engines – the 1.2 TFSI with 86PS, the 1.4 TFSI with 122PS and the 1.6 TDI with 105PS – all with engine start-stop and recuperation systems – with the A1 1.6 TDI S line Style Edition giving its driver what Audi describe as “the ultimate combination of sporting style, keen performance and exceptional efficiency” by providing up to 74.3mpg with CO2 emissions estimated at just 99g/km.

The A1 S Line models are proving already to be winners with the general public and with these upgrades, Audi expect the winning to continue.
