Why Lease The A1 Sportback?
The Audi A1 Sportback is the 5-door part of the A1 family that is bigger than the three-door A1, but still keeps its small car agility as it faces up to the competitiveness of cars such as the new MINI 5-door hatchback and the five-door VW Polo in the leasing stakes.
Bigger means more space and practicality, and being part of the Audi A1 family means that it maintains all the benefits and specifications that that entails - including the choice of both diesel and petrol engines.
The A1 Sportback range kicks itself off with the SE model and its 6.5" colour display, DAB digital radio, alloy wheels and air-conditioning before Sport models get sport seats, a sports steering wheel, sports suspension and 162 alloy wheels; S line models S line suspension, 17" alloy wheels and a subtle body kit; and the top-of-the-range S1 model quad exhaust pipes, bright xenon headlights and LED rear lights, along with adjustable suspension and quattro four-wheel drive.
Fun to drive along with the practicality, the Audi A1 Sportback suits the city driver with responsibilities AND a wish for the freedom of the open road.
Audi A1 Sportback Key Features
• 5 doors giving extra space inside
• Smooth and quiet petrol and diesel engines with plenty of power
• Economy as high as 80.7mpg and CO2 emissions as low as 92g/km
• Low running costs due to technology such as Stop/Start
• Generous specifications
Power & Performance
The A1 Sportback uses the same range of turbocharged petrol and diesel engines as the standard Audi A1, all of which come with stop-start as standard, meaning that petrol engines range from a small 1.0 and 1.4-litre TFSI petrol engine to a 1.6-litre turbo diesel engine along with six-speed manual or seven-speed S tronic automatic gearboxes (except for the 5-speed manual gearboxes of the 1.0-litre TFSI and 1.6-litre TDI).
MPG figures are impressive (with top prize going to the 1.6 litre TDI's 80.7mpg) as are the low emissions throughout, lead by the 1.0-litre petrol engine with 97gkm of CO2; so you can be sure that the power and performance that you get from the Sportback isn't harming your wallet or the environment.
Leasing vs Buying
Leasing is a great alternative to buying a brand new car – with a change of car every 2 or 3 years, low initial payments, inclusive road tax and breakdown recovery, and the assurance that the finance is arranged through the UK's largest vehicle lease providers, here at Nationwide Vehicle Contracts. And that's not even mentioning the huge range of vehicles on offer at competitive lease rates with fixed monthly rentals.
