Why Lease The Focus?
If you don't know all about the Ford Focus, welcome to the real world from whatever planet you have been living on for the past 20 or so years.
A mainstay of the UK car market for many years, sitting in the top five best-selling cars for many years now, often trading that top spot place with its nearest rivals - the Volkswagen Golf and the Vauxhall Astra -the Ford Focus five-door hatchback is considered to be the best-handling car in its class and as fun to drive as you would expect from a compact quality car.
Newly facelifted in 2014, subtle changes have made the Ford Focus the car to drive for enjoyment, with a five-star Euro NCAP crash-test rating and standard equipment that includes alloy wheels, air-conditioning and a USB connection, with trim-raising additions such as an 8" touchscreen infotainment system and DAB digital radio as options the further up the scale you go.
The Ford Focus is available in Studio, Zetec, Zetec S, Titanium, Titanium X and ST hot hatchback trims, in both hatchback and estate firms with a good choice of both diesel and petrol engines.
Ford Focus Key Features
• Great choice of fuel economical diesel and petrol engines
• Up to 74.3mpg fuel economy
• Great standard specification and even better options as the trim levels upgrade
• Considered to be the best-handling car in its class
• Five-star Euro NCAP crash-test rating
Power & Performance
The 1.5-litre TDCi diesel, engine is the cleanest available, with CO2 emissions of just 98g/km and fuel economy of 74.3mpg, with the best petrol version being the award-winning 1.0-litre three-cylinder EcoBoost petrol engine. The latter emits just 105g/km in its 99bhp form (with the 123bhp emitting just 108g/km) with fuel economy a very respectable 61.4mpg and 60.1mpg.
Most engines compliment the excellent handling of the Ford Focus, with power and responsiveness right there at the fingertips; and although a 0-62mph figure of 11.3 seconds to a 120mph top speed might not be earth-shattering, the initial overtaking boost speed is!
