Why Lease The Mondeo Hatchback?
Available in hatchback, saloon and estate forms, the Ford Mondeo is not just your average run-of-the-mill Ford car, despite a rush for SUVs and crossovers in the car marketplace - even more so with a Ford update to the Mondeo last year.
No changes to the outside, but inside you feel more grown up with the quick and light steering adding to the car's comfort; giving you a family car in all ways possible.
Choosing the Ford Mondeo over the likes of the Mazda6 and the Volkswagen Passat will give you a classier Mondeo than its predecessor (thanks to the large chrome grille inherited from the Ford Focus for a start), sharper specifications that includes an 8"colour touchscreen, alloy wheels, a DAB digital radio, climate control, cruise control and LED tail-lights as standard on the basic Style model (with Zetec, Titanium and Titanium X models adding in more), and a choice of petrol and diesel engines along with a hybrid too!
Ford Mondeo Key Features
• Four trim levels: Style, Zetec, Titanium and Titanium X Pack
• Excellent standard specification from the start
• Comfort and grown-upability
• Choice of petrol, diesel and hybrid engines
• A range-best 78.5mpg fuel economy
Power & Performance
The multiple award-winning 1.0-litre EcoBoost engine leads the way for engine options on the Ford Mondeo, with a 1.5-litre EcoBoost and a more powerful 2.0-litre version producing 237bhp available as options; with a fuel economy best of 55.4mpg and emissions of just 119g/km for the petrol versions.
For the diesel there are a couple of 2.0-litre engines with different power outputs and a 1.6-litre engine that can achieve the range-best 78.5mpg fuel economy and 94g/km emissions.
When it comes to performance, the 1.5-litre EcoBoost petrol engine can get you to 62mph from start in 9.2 seconds with a pretty sporty sound too, and all cars are pretty nippy around town for a large family car.
Leasing vs Buying
With low initial payments, fixed monthly instalments and flexible contract terms. leasing from Nationwide (the UK's largest vehicle lease providers) is a great alternative to buying a brand new car. There is a huge range of vehicles at competitive lease rates – all of which come with inclusive road tax and breakdown recovery - so you can chooose which car you want to change to every 2-3 years with ease.
