Why Lease The Sportage?
Available in 18 different variants, Kia's best-selling Sportage has proved a real game-changer for families, allowing them to carry family members in comfort as well as plenty of equipment and day-out necessities in its (maximum) 1480 litre boot.
Up against the Nissan Qashqai in the fight for familial hearts and minds, the Kia Sportage is also comfortable to travel in and fun to drive, with plenty of little touches and technology to make whatever journey it is used for easy and enjoyable.
Kia Sportage Key Features
- Good choice of fuel economical diesel and petrol engines
- 18 variants available to meet every need
- Sporty design wrapped in an SUV body
- Up-to-date technology and driver assistance options
- Stylish, comfortable and spacey interior
Comfort and Practicality
Driving the new Kia Sportage is a real pleasure on both motorways and country roads thanks to a much stiffer body shell, extensive suspension revisions and a new steering system - and when you add in Kia's latest rack-mounted Motor Driven Power Steering (R-MDPS), Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD) and Brake Assist (BAS), it means that everyone else in the car enjoys it too.
There's plenty of space for both passengers and luggage, and infotainment is cared for with features such as a 7" or 8" touch-screen satellite navigation system linked to Kia Connected Services with TomTom® on all but the entry-level model.
It almost goes without saying that the Kia Sportage boasts a five-star safety rating from Euro NCAP under their ever-tougher testing regime, with plenty of driver assistance systems available (as standard depending on trim) as well as the airbags and seat belt standards you would expect.
For example, top-of-the-range grade 4/KX-4 and First Edition versions are fitted with Autonomous Emergency Braking, Blind Spot Detection and Rear Cross Traffic Alert, while all models from grade 2/KX-2 upwards feature Lane Keep Assist, Speed Limit Information, and a reversing camera integrated with the standard 7" or 8" navigation touch-screen and reversing sensors.
Power & Performance
The Sportage, like many in its sector, offers a choice of both diesel and petrol engines, with the newly introduced 1.6L T-GDi joining a re-engineered 1.6-litre GDi petrol engine and two 1.7- and 2.0-litre turbodiesel power units in offering great fuel economy and reductions of up to 29g/km in emissions.
Six-speed manual transmission comes as standard, with both two- and four-wheel drive available depending on model.
There are 6 trims available: Grades 1-4, GT-Line and First Edition, with Grade 1/KX-1 as entry level with a high standard of specification. Extras include:
- Driver assistance features like Lane Keep Assist, Autonomous Emergency Braking and Blind Spot Detection
- Front Parking sensors
- Dual exhausts
- Black leather upholstery with grey inserts
- 19" Alloys
- Powered tailgate
