Why Lease The Shogun?

The Mitsubishi Shogun offers a unique blend of off and on-road capability with a great level of comfort. It is the ideal choice for those with big needs that change from day-to-day.

A bold, muscular design is indicative of the Shogun’s ability to climb, descend and tackle obstacles. In keeping with its dynamic driving characteristics, the three door model is athletically styled with sculpted rear bumpers and a shorter profile. The five door model is more family-oriented, with versatility improved by an innovative folding 3rd row of seats.

With air conditioning and electric windows as standard, the Mitsubishi Shogun boasts a good level of comfort. Dimensions are generous and there is ample leg, head and shoulder room for all even when passenger capacity reaches its limits. Perhaps its best feature, however, is practicality. Both models offer up a hefty luggage space and towing capabilities won’t disappoint either.

As standard, the Mitsubishi Shogun is fitted with a five speed manual gearbox; although an automatic transmission is available too.

•    Good level of specification as standard;
•    Excellent practicality;
•    Fantastic performance off-road.

Power & Performance

The Mitsubishi Shogun has been designed as a dependable off road work horse. Despite this, since it’s most recent makeover it’s on road manner has improved significantly. It handles well, with little body roll around corners, regardless of the conditions through which it is put.

The Mitsubishi Shogun is powered by a 3.2 litre four cylinder diesel engine – made more efficient by a new ‘common rail’ injection system. Now offering 197bhp, the Shogun covers ground quickly enough to impress most, whilst brakes work well enough to bring it to a standstill with ease.

Leasing vs Buying

With a low initial payment, fixed monthly instalments and flexible contract terms, leasing is a fantastic alternative to buying a brand new car. Nationwide offer a huge range of vehicles at extremely competitive rates – providing all of these with inclusive road tax and breakdown recovery.

Jonathan Mitsubishi Shogun 3.2 DI-DC (187) SG3 5dr Auto

The vehicle is a good all rounder. The front seating positions are excellent, the rear seating positions can be a little restrictive. Fuel consumption is a little high, but that is to be expected. Only real niggle is there is not enough tie down hooks in the cargo area.

Cornelious Mitsubishi Shogun 3.2 DI-DC (187) SG2 5dr Auto

It is great for the family & carrying luggage, also a really good driving position but this particular model is very basic & way behind the times, it feels heavy when going around a bend & is hard going picking up speed but overall I do like this vehicle.

Kevin Mitsubishi Shogun 3.2 DI-DC (187) SG3 5dr Auto

The build quality and interior aren't as good as some other cars in the size bracket, but the price reflects this and therefore the Shogun has to get top marks for value for money. It is roomy with a huge boot, and has all the electrical gadgets as standard. We only do short journeys and have not tested it for long hauls, but we are very pleased with it and will either extend the contract next year or look to take another
