Why Lease The Leaf?
Nissan set the bar high and inspired competition from a number of rival manufacturers to produce a fully electric vehicle that not only looks great, but emits zero emissions and can be charged from home. The Nissan Leaf is the ideal lease choice for city dwellers.
Incorporating Nissan’s ‘smart fluidity’ principle, the exterior design of the Leaf combines flowing lines with aerodynamic efficiency. Inside, the leaf boasts ample space for up to five adults and feels larger than any of its electric rivals. The cabin is well equipped, logically laid out and well insulated against road, tyre and wind noise. Comfort levels are superior – supportive seats combined with a well set up suspension system ensure that bumps in the road are never an issue.
Safety is not an issue when it comes to the Nissan Leaf, scoring a maximum five out of five stars in its recent NCAP crash safety testing. The Leaf is built upon sturdy foundations and features a generous array of safety equipment including ABS, Electronic Brake Distribution, six airbags and a rear-view camera for safe and easy parking. In the unlikely event of a short circuit, the supply of electricity is immediately interrupted.
Nissan Leaf: Key Features
• Zero emissions
• Great level of specification
• Low running costs
• Aesthetically pleasing
• Impressive range
Power & Performance
Beneath the bonnet lives an innovative electric motor that produces a power output of 108bhp, enabling the Nissan Leaf to reach 62mph in 11.9 seconds. It is a great lease choice for urban driving as the climb up to 30mph is particularly strong. A lithium-ion battery pack lies underneath the floor or the car, allowing you to get as far as 100 miles on one charge.
Although significantly quieter, the Leaf handles just like any other family car that is powered by a normal combustion engine. There is little body roll around corners and it feels assured at all speeds. The battery position contributes to a low centre of gravity and makes the Leaf feel incredibly agile.
Leasing vs Buying
Leasing is a fantastic alternative to buying a brand new car – with a low initial payment, fixed monthly instalments and flexible contract terms. Nationwide Vehicle Contracts offer a vast range of vehicles at extremely competitive lease rates. All of these are provided with inclusive road tax and breakdown recovery.
