Why Lease The 2008 Crossover?
The new 5-door Peugeot 2008 Crossover is a comfortable and versatile car that’s ideal for busy and adventurous lives. With enhanced technology and significant improvements to fuel-efficiency and CO2 emissions, this stylish mini-SUV works just as well as a robust urban car as it does when set to more practical or sporting pursuits.
Peugeot 2008 Key Features
• Flexible and modular – adaptable to a diverse variety of driving styles;
• Compact and manoeuvrable – an ideal practical urban car;
• Choice of five trim levels – Access+, Active, Allure, Feline Calima & Feline Mistral;
• Extensive range of advanced interior features, equipment and technology;
• Fantastic selection of efficient petrol and diesel engines
Power & Performance
The Peugeot 2008 Crossover is an evolution of the Peugeot 208 Supermini. It’s available with the same range of advanced petrol and diesel engines but offers a higher driving position, a more muscular design and significantly more space. In this way the Peugeot 2008 Crossover offers the best of both worlds – robust SUV practicality combined with supermini efficiency.
Across the range there’s a choice of two petrol and two diesel engines. The entry-level petrol engine is a 1.2 litre VTi 82, but offering slightly more power is the 1.6 litre VTi 120. Both petrol engines come fitted with 5-speed manual transmission. However, to get the best performance out of the Peugeot 2008 Crossover, choose a diesel engine.
With 5-speed manual transmission, the HDi 70 5-speed option is good, but better still is the e-HDi 92 Stop & Start engine. Though available with 6-speed manual transmission, the absolute best choice for the Peugeot 2008 Crossover is to combine the e-HDi engine with the 6-speed EGC gearbox.
With such a configuration, the Peugeot 2008 Crossover produces a satisfying and capable amount of power, but also happens to be capable of 74.3mpg. And, with CO2 emissions as low as 99g/km, not only will you save at the fuel pump, but you’ll also find yourself exempt from road tax and the congestion charge.
Comfort & Technology
Apart from anything else, the Peugeot 2008 Crossover is a supremely safe car. The active safety features serve to enhance your stability on difficult road surfaces and also give you increased control when cornering or swerving. The systems include an Electronic Stability Programme (ESP), five mode Grip Control, an Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) and Hill Assist.
As standard on some models and as an optional extra on others is the panoramic glass roof, which floods the spacious interior with light and gives everyone a fantastic view. There’s also an extensive choice of illustrious seating trims to give the interior a refined and luxurious touch. Choose from Berlin Black, Tokyo Black, Oxford Black Premium, Beijing Bronze Premium, Panama Premium and Midnight Black Leather.
Other features, equipment and technology available across the range includes LED daytime running lights, roof bars, cruise control, Bluetooth Connectivity, automatic dual zone climate control and a multifunction colour Touchscreen with satellite navigation and a DAB digital radio.
Leasing vs Buying
Fuel-efficient and potentially exempt from road tax and the congestion charge, the Peugeot 2008 Crossover is a remarkably affordable drive. However, you can make things even more cost-effective and convenient when you consider leasing as an alternative to buying. When you lease a Peugeot 2008 Crossover from Nationwide Vehicle Contracts, expect flexible contracts and mileage terms, fixed monthly payments and inclusive road tax and breakdown recovery.
