John Suzuki Vitara 1.4 Boosterjet 48V Hybrid SZ5

The vehicle is well equipped with safety features. Fuel economy with it being soft hybrid is good. Handling is good and driving comfortable.

Christine Suzuki Vitara 1.4 Boosterjet 48V Hybrid SZ5 ALLGRIP

Things have been changed with the engine from the previous model which are disappointing: the turbo doesn't come in at high speeds which nearly caused an accident when trying to move out of the way of an HGV that suddenly pulled out on me on the motorway, I put my foot down and nothing much happened. I believe that this is to do with saving petrol. The 6 gears and reverse are cramped into the space of 5 gears and reverse which makes gear changing needing more thought. My husband who has had an automatic for over 20 years won't drive it. The off road capabilities are better than my previous model but in no way are as good as all my previous suzukis with a low ratio gearbox on board, this will be another petrol saving thing. In all the car is good to drive and has a better turning circle than the previous model. I wish it had the turbo kick in at high gears and a low ratio gear box, but I believe these are petrol saving adjustments and would probably be the same on other makes of vehicles.
