Why Lease The Corsa 5 Door?
If you are looking for a small supermini that can fit five people in relative comfort, then the popular Vauxhall Corsa falls right into your category. Thanks to its quality looks, great fuel economy and emission figures, exceptional practicality and high quality build, the Corsa comes up against the Ford Fiesta, Skoda Fabia and Volkswagen Polo in the battle for hearts and minds of UK drivers.
Vauxhall Corsa Key Features
• Good choice of economic and reliable engines
• Spacious cabins
• Good standard specification
• Perfect for city driving and everyday use
Comfort and Practicality
All Corsas get six airbags, height-adjustable front seatbelts, tyre-pressure monitoring to warn when you might have a flat tyre, traction control and hill-start assist; enough to score a respectable four stars in the EuroNCAP test, with ratings of 79% and 77% for adult occupancy protection and child occupant protection respectively.
There are also packages of high-tech safety aids available, and remote central locking and engine immobiliser are standard, airbags are fitted as standard to all versions, including full-length curtain airbags and a driver’s kneebag. Rear side airbags are available as an option on all five-door versions, and are worth considering if you regularly carry people in the back.
Power & Performance
With a 1.2, a 1.4 and a turbocharged 1.4 four-cylinder petrol engine, and a 1.0 turbocharged three-cylinder ECOTEC Direct Injection Turbo with 89bhp or 114bhp available, there is a good choice of powertrains with the Vauxhall Corsa, offering over 40mpg on average and emissions of between 94 and 102g/km.
There is even a top of the range VXR model with a 202bhp turbocharged 1.6-litre engine that offers a 0-60mph of just 6 seconds for the sportier customer.
At entry-level (Life), the infotainment is very basic in comparison to the rest of the car's specifications, but as all Corsas get a heated windscreen and electric front windows, six airbags, height-adjustable front seatbelts, tyre-pressure monitoring, remote central locking, engine immobiliser, traction control and hill-start assist. Affordable extras can include:
• Multifunction steering wheel
• Automatic headlights and wipers
• Forward collision alert
• Vauxhall’s Intellilink system with a 7" colour touchscreen with Bluetooth
• Spare or space-saver tyre
