There's less than two months to go before the 2012 Goodwood Festival of Speed commences, and now the organisers have revealed the names of over 100 top drivers, riders and celebrities who'll be appearing at what might well be the world's greatest celebration of motor sports and car culture.

As usual, the majority of the current season's Formula 1 teams and drivers will be appearing – at least seven of the 2012 F1 teams are confirmed at this point.

These teams include Red Bull Racing, Scuderia Ferrari, Vodafone McLaren Racing, Lotus, Mercedes GP, Williams and Caterham.

As for the drivers, you can expect to see current double world champion Sebastian Vettel alongside two previous world champions in the form of Jenson Button and Lewis Hamilton.

In addition, Mark Webber, Nico Rosberg, Bruno Senna, Christian Horner and Adrian Newey will all be partaking in the gruelling 1.16 mile Goodwood Hillclimb.

A host of Grand Prix masters of yesteryear will also be present at this year's Goodwood Festival of Speed, including Sir Stirling Moss, Alain Prost, Sir Jackie Stewart, John Surtees, Nick Heidfeld, Jochen Mass, Emerson Fittipaldi, Martin Donnelly and Alex Wurz.

The world of rallying will be represented by Juho Hanninen, Thierry Neuville, Jan Kopecky and Andreas Mikkelsen – the current Skoda UK Motorsports 2011 IRC Champion.

They'll be joined by many other rallying greats who are all set to be reacquainted with the cars that made them famous. These include Juha Kankkunen, Rauno Aaltonen, Jimmy McRae, Hannu Mikkola and Russell Brookes.

Every driver and rider partaking in the 2012 Goodwood Festival of Speed will appear on the walkway leading into the exclusive BlackRock Drivers' Club throughout the event. This means that festival goers and fans alike will be given a chance to see their heroes up close. And who knows? You might even get a chance to have a word or two with them, too!

Is all of this sounding like the most fun ever? Then why not get yerself a ticket – if you haven't already.
