The all-new 3-door Audi A3 features major advances in quality, driver assistance technology, efficiency and infotainment.

At launch, it comes with a choice of three reworked engines. For those who favour petrol, there's the 1.4 TFSI at 122ps or the 1.8 TFSI at 180ps. Diesel-fanciers will find their needs more than catered for by the powerful 2.0 TDI at 150ps.

It comes in three levels of specification: the SE, the Sport and the S Line. All come with alloy wheels, air conditioning or climate control, MMI radio with an electrically folding screen, Audi Music Interface iPod connection and a Bluetooth interface and navigation preparation as standard.

The all-new Audi A3 is considerably lighter than its predecessor by around 80kg. This, combined with refined ergonomics and engine technology, has made for fuel economy gains of up to 12% over its predecessors.

The 1.4 TFSI and 2.0 TDI models come with a six-speed manual gearbox as standard. The 1.8 TFSI, however, is linked as standard to a seven-speed S tronic twin-clutch transmission for such smoother gear transitions as serve to boost performance and economy.

The all-new Audi A3 is available to order in the UK from 6 June 2012 priced from £19,205 OTR.
