Coming very soon to the Hyundai range is the company’s new compact SUV, the all-new Hyundai Tucson, which replaces the Hyundai ix35 - a decision not taken lightly by Hyundai, as Tony Whitehorn, President and CEO of Hyundai Motor UK, explains:
“The SUV market is of huge importance to Hyundai, with over 130,000 SUVs sold since we first launched Santa Fe in 2001. The outgoing model, ix35, is our second best-seller in the UK so far this year which just proves how critical this sector is for our brand - Tucson will look to develop this success, thanks to its striking design and the enhanced level of technology and equipment it offers our customers.”
The Hyundai Tucson
Available in 3 levels - S, SE and Premium - the new Tucson will be available from September, so contact Nationwide Vehicle Contracts to register your interest at the earliest opportunity; because when you see what Hyundai have packed into this SUV, you will be wanting it as soon as possible.
Even at the entry level S trim, the standard features are pretty exceptional with DAB digital radio with MP3 compatibility, Bluetooth® connectivity, with USB and AUX connections, 16" alloy wheels, air conditioning, and automatic headlights with dusk sensor to name just a few off of the specification list.
If you feel like moving up a little in the world, the Hyundai TucsonSE trim adds in 17” alloy wheels, rear parking sensors, heated front seats, Lane Keep Assist System (LKAS), projection headlights with static cornering lights, and dual zone climate control to add that touch of class to the drive.
SE trim lovers can also take advantage of the SE sibling, the SE Nav, which features the debut of Hyundai’s new-generation 8" touchscreen satellite navigation that boasts TMC, reversing camera, MapCare, Tom Tom Live Services, a shark fin antenna, and Hyundai’s innovative Speed Limit Information System (SLIF). This uses the car's front camera and information from the navigation system to identify road speed signs and display the speed limit in real time.
Moving on up in the world, and moving on up in car comfort, performance and driveability we find the Hyundai Tucson Premium with features that include 19" alloy wheels (excluding the 1.7 CRDi Blue Drive which has 17" Alloy Wheels), leather upholstery, front parking sensors, a host of driving technology features, automatic windscreen wipers with rain sensor, and heated rear seats (outer rear seats only).
And right at the top of the shop, should you decide that the very best is for you, is the Hyundai Tucson Premium SE model with heated steering wheel, keyless smart entry with engine start/stop button, Smart Parking Assist System (on Automatic Transmission models only), smart electric tailgate, LED headlights, panoramic sunroof with electric tilt and slide function, and ventilated front seats.
A whole host of engine variations are available with both manual and automatic transmissions as well as 2 and 4-Wheel Drive options, ranging from the S Trim 1.6 GDi 132PS Manual 2WD with ISG right up to the Premium SE 2.0 CRDi 185PS Auto 4WD.
And for anyone worried about the effect on the environment from an SUV, fear not. CO2 emissions on the Hyundai Tucson range from as little as 119 g/km on the S 1.7 CRDi 116PS Manual with ISG, SE Nav 1.7 CRDi 116PS Manual with ISG and Premium 1.7 CRDi 116PS Manual with ISG up to an acceptable Premium 177 g/km on the more powerful SE 1.6 T-GDi 177PS Manual 4WD.
Full specifications on the differing trim levels are detailed below, so keep an eye out on our Hyundai Leasing Page for details of when the Hyundai Tucson will be available to order.
