The Citroen DS3 Pink is a rather delightful special edition introduced exclusively to the UK just in time to lift us out of January's gloomy funk.
The Monday on which most people return to work after their hedonistic winter break is sometimes recognised as the single most depressing day of the year. This may or may not be the case, but few will deny that January brings with it a general sense of cold malaise.
We yearn collectively for a pick-me-up, for anything that might see us through the darkness. Apparently hearing our cries, the cheerful French marque have unleashed the stylish and charming Citroen DS3 Pink.
The Citroen DS3 Pink - Fuchsiaristic
The Citroen DS3 Pink is, to be precise, fuchsia. It's a high-specification version of the award-winning supermini, pleasingly colourful with its unique “Fuchsia Touch”.
All Citroen DS3 Pink models feature a striking fuchsia pink roof, door mirrors and wheel centre caps. On the inside, the soft, sunny and warming feel continues with a fuchsia dashboard and a colour coded gear lever knob.
There's a choice of two body colours. Polar White resembles some kind of rich yet refreshing pudding, whilst Perla Nera Black is more striking, and somewhat reminiscent of an irresistible licorice allsort.
Pink Trims
The Citroen DS3 Pink is available with a choice of four engines across two trim levels, with additional specification added beyond the standard DStyle and DSport equipment levels.
The Citroen DS3 DStyle Pink features 16” Ashera alloy wheels, available in black or white to match the chosen body colour. An upgraded HiFi system with additional speakers provides a richer sound experience than the usual DStyle.
The range-topping Citroen DS3 DSport Pink features 17” Bellone black or white alloys and the alluring “City Signature” pack, including automatic headlights and wipers, rear parking sensors, heated and electric folding door mirrors and a front central armrest.
Engine options across the range include a VTi 120 petrol and the frugal e-HDi 90 Airdream diesel, which produces just 95g/km CO2. The DS3 DSport Pink, of course, is available with more powerful engines, including the THP 155 petrol and the e-HDi 115 Airdream diesel.
