Nationwide Vehicle Contracts has donated a £200 Amazon gift card to Manchester & Cheshire Dogs’ Home, supporting the charity’s ongoing work to care for stray and unwanted dogs across Greater Manchester and Cheshire.
The team at Manchester & Cheshire Dogs’ Home has gratefully accepted the gift card and will use it to buy essential supplies for dogs currently in their care.
Manchester & Cheshire Dogs’ Home was founded in 1893 by a group of Manchester businessmen who were concerned about the growing number of stray dogs roaming the city. Since then, the charity has remained focused on a clear mission, offering safety, care, and a second chance to dogs that need it most.
Their work continues every day, with a commitment to:
- Taking in stray and unwanted dogs across the Greater Manchester and Cheshire districts
- Vaccinating and microchipping every dog in their care
- Providing treatment for sick and injured dogs, nursing them back to health ready for adoption
- Finding suitable, loving homes for each dog
- Never putting a healthy dog to sleep
- Visiting schools and community events to promote responsible dog ownership and safety

Nationwide Vehicle Contracts believes in supporting the communities where its customers and team live and work. This donation forms part of the company’s new Community blog section, which will share updates on local initiatives, charity partnerships, and positive work happening across the region.
Donations like this help charities cover the day-to-day basics that often go unseen, from food and bedding to cleaning products, enrichment items, and medical essentials. Even a small contribution can help improve comfort and care for dogs waiting for their next home.
“We’re proud to support Manchester & Cheshire Dogs’ Home with this £200 donation. The work they do for stray and unwanted dogs across our region is vital, and we hope this helps them buy the supplies they need to care for every dog while they wait for a loving home”

Nationwide Vehicle Contracts looks forward to supporting more community organisations in the months ahead and using the Community section to highlight causes that make a real difference locally.
