The all-new Mazda CX-3As more and more new car launches get more and more spectacular, Mazda streamed the reveal of the all-new Mazda CX-3 to the world live over YouTube in a special event on the eve of the 2014 Los Angeles Auto Show.

The Mazda CX-3 is a crossover vehicle and 5th in a line-up of new generation cars that fit into both the stylish KODO (Soul of Motion) design and that also feature Mazda’s award-winning SKYACTIV technology.

Launching initially in Japan in Spring 2015 prior to global rollout over the rest of the year, the Mazda CX-3 is all ready to become an important member of the Mazda team.

In Europe, the Mazda CX-3 will feature a choice of three engines: the petrol SKYACTIV-G 2.0-litre in two power versions and the new SKYACTIV-D 1.5-litre clean diesel. Six-speed SKYACTIV-Drive automatic and SKYACTIV-MT manual transmissions will be offered either in front-wheel drive format or with Mazda’s new-generation all-wheel drive system.

Although we are yet to be furnished with the full specification, we do know that it features Mazda’s latest i-ACTIVSENSE active safety systems and a generous infotainment package including the MZD Connect in-car connectivity system.

The Mazda CX-3 was on display throughout the 2014 Los Angeles Auto Show along with the all-new Mazda MX-5, the 2015 Mazda CX-5 and the 2015 Mazda6, which were also making their debuts.

The Mazda MX-5 is another new model that will be available in Europe with specially tuned versions of the SKYACTIV-G 2.0-litre and SKYACTIV-G 1.5-litre petrol engines and SKYACTIV manual and automatic transmissions.

There was also the 2015 Mazda CX-5 and the 2015 Mazda6 flagship model, both of which are upgrades of already award-winning models with high-quality interior and exterior styling, and a wealth of state-of the-art technology that includes MZD Connect, Mazda’s smartphone connectivity system, the Active Driving Display, a head-up display, and the latest i-ACTIVSENSE active safety technology, including, for the first time in a Mazda, Adaptive LED Headlights (ALH).

Just a sign of the progressive times for the Mazda brand.
