Back in February this year, Nationwide Vehicle Contracts offered up for leasing the new Suzuki Celerio which was then available in an SZ3 and SZ4 version - both of which available with a 1.0-litre petrol engine. Now Suzuki have released a new version of their latest compact city car in the shape of the Suzuki Celerio SZ2.
Suzuki are renowned as purveyors of great performing small cars, many of which are available to lease at Nationwide Vehicle Contracts, and the Suzuki Celerio SZ2 is yet another trademark compact car from the Japanese car manufacturer, the Celerio having replaced the Alto and Splash models in Suzuki’s small car range.
Suzuki Celerio SZ2
Providing an easy drive in an elevated driving position, the Suzuki Celerio SZ2 has a surprisingly roomy and comfortable interior that surpasses most conventional A-segment cars - all the more surprising when you consider the compact size of the car itself. At just 3,600mm in length with a width of 1,600mm, inside the car is a class leading luggage capacity of 254L along with greater headroom for all five occupants with a height of 1,530mm and more space overall with its 2,425mm wheelbase.
The main engine available on the SZ2 is a 1.0-litre petrol that offers up power of 68PS and 90Nm of torque, with a revised Dualjet engine also available with similar power capabilities. With the smaller sized engines comes some impressive fuel economy figures, and it's no different here with official economy figures of 65.7mpg with CO2 emissions of 99g/km (increased to 78.4mpg and 84g/km with the Dualjet engine.)
Of course, this means that not only does the car meet Euro 6 emission levels but also qualifies for free car tax.
Standard equipment for the Celerio SZ2 is pretty impressive too for a small city car, including:
- A CD player with DAB radio, Bluetooth and a USB port
- Alloy wheels
- Electric front windows
- Air conditioning
- Six airbags (Driver, passenger, side and curtain),
- Central locking
- Daimler AG's ESP
A drive in the Suzuki Celerio SZ2 is light with plenty of grip, and with a top speed of just 96mph and a 0-62mph acceleration of around 13 seconds is primarily aimed at the City driver.
Rivals to the Suzuki Celerio SZ2 are the Peugeot 108, Citroen C1 and Toyota Aygo, all of which are available to lease from Nationwide Vehicle Contracts.
