Rolls-Royce reveals Phantom 'The Six Elements' in Dubai
British luxury car manufacturer Rolls-Royce has revealed a series of six one-of-one Phantom Extended Series II cars at a gala event in Dubai. The collection features hand-painted art from British artist Sacha Jafri.
Each of the six cars includes unique artwork hand-painted by Jafri, inspired by the five traditional elements: Earth, Water, Fire, Wind, and Air, plus an additional extra, Humanity.
The series represents an unprecedented collaboration of fine art, craftsmanship, design, and technology. The series is also raising money for charity, with more than $1 million raised so far through a unique fundraising NFT in each car.
Strike disruption causes chaos for Britain's motorists
This week has undoubtedly been tough for us Brits, with freezing temperatures and strikes hitting the country. The combination of both has caused havoc on the roads, with the UK's leading independent road safety charity, IAM RoadSmart, warning motorists to take extra care on the roads.
Staff from National Highways, who monitor lane closures and work with the emergency services, are on strike for 15 days, starting from 15 December. As a result, motorists are being urged to travel if only necessary and ensure their vehicle is safe and fully fuelled before setting off.
2023 Vauxhall Mokka Electric gets a 252-mile range and more power
Vauxhall has updated the Mokka Electric with a new 54 kWh battery which offers greater power, efficiency, and range for drivers. The new battery sees performance increased to 156 bhp and range increased to 252 miles (WLTP).
The new battery requires just 15.2 kWh of electricity to cover 100km and will complete an 80% charge in under 30 minutes. The increase in performance also means the Mokka Electric completed 0-62mph in under ten seconds.
Orders for the Mokka Electric with the new 54 kWh battery open from March 2023.
Polestar releases a second limited edition of electric moped
Swedish manufacturer Polestar and CAKE have released a second limited edition of the fully electric moped Makka. The new edition has a top speed of 45kph and has two ride modes, one for extended journeys and the other for performance.
The new edition adds a detachable rear carrier for improved cargo carrying, adaptable for configurations like boxes, racks, and passenger seats. The first edition was launched in 2021 and sold out immediately.

Kia unveils Stonic' Quantum' special edition
Kia has revealed a special edition of its highly popular Stonic SUV. The 'Quantum' comes with a unique two-tone exterior paint job and a yellow highlight interior. It's available to order in the UK as of today (15 December 2022) and has an on-the-road price of £21,600.
The 'Quantum' comes with a 1.0-litre T-GDi engine with 99 bhp and a six-speed manual transmission. It also offers a comprehensive list of standard equipment, including heated front seats, an eight-inch touchscreen infotainment system, driver assist technologies, and smart key technology with engine start/stop.
The 'Quantum' is designed to offer maximum value to Kia customers, sitting above the GT-Line and below the 3 in the Stonic's line-up.
