The A6 Allroad is available with a V6 diesel or a plug-in hybrid, both paired with quattro all-wheel drive. The diesel produces 299PS and 580Nm, while the plug-in hybrid delivers 367PS, 500Nm and up to 63 miles of electric range.

Interior and exterior design

A wider body and hexagon-inspired detailing give the A6 Allroad a distinct look, while up to 21-inch alloy wheels and eight paint finishes add further presence. Step inside, and you'll find premium materials and ambient lighting, with a panoramic glass roof available on Vorsprung trim, creating a cabin that feels every bit as considered as the exterior.

Practical applications

With up to 1,497 litres of boot space in the diesel model, or 1,423 litres in the plug-in hybrid, and 40:20:40 split-folding rear seats, the A6 Allroad adapts easily to cargo or passengers. An electric tailgate, which opens with a simple foot gesture, adds convenience, while an optional roof basket and towing capacity of up to 2,500kg for the diesel or 2,000kg for the plug-in hybrid, when fitted with the optional towbar, provide extra versatility.

Technology overview

The MMI panoramic display combines an 11.9-inch virtual cockpit with a 14.5-inch touchscreen, putting key information within easy reach. Audi assistant, a voice-controlled system integrated with ChatGPT, can answer questions or handle everyday tasks, while adaptive cruise assist plus helps make driving more comfortable. Digital Matrix LED headlights, available on Vorsprung trim, improve visibility on the road.

Customisation options

The A6 Allroad is available in two trims: Black Edition and Vorsprung. Black Edition includes 19-inch alloy wheels, all-wheel steering and adaptive air suspension, while Vorsprung adds features such as a panoramic glass roof, digital Matrix LED headlights and a Bang & Olufsen premium sound system.

Audi A6 Allroad FAQs

With the rear seats up, you get 466 litres in the diesel version, enough for a weekly shop or a couple of large suitcases. Fold the seats down and that jumps to 1,497 litres. The plug-in hybrid has slightly less space due to the battery pack, with 404 litres with the seats up and 1,423 litres with them folded.

There are two options. A 3.0-litre V6 mild-hybrid diesel with 299PS, and a 2.0-litre plug-in hybrid with 367PS and up to 63 miles of electric-only range. Both come with quattro all-wheel drive as standard.

It's not a hardcore off-roader, but it's genuinely capable on rough ground. The adaptive air suspension sits 34mm higher than an A6 Avant with adaptive air suspension, and there are dedicated Offroad and Offroad+ modes that raise the car further.
