Design, Practicality and Boot Space

The Audi e-tron GT Saloon is a luxury electric car that combines striking design with impressive performance and practicality. The e-tron GT has a sleek and aerodynamic design, with a low-slung profile, a long hood, and a wide stance. The Audi e-tron GT was co-designed with Porsche and is based on the same underpinnings as the Taycan.

The front of the car features Audi's signature Singleframe grille, which has been reimagined for the electric range, with a closed-off design that enhances aerodynamics. The headlights are slim and angular, giving the car a sporty and aggressive look. The e-tron GT also features a low roofline, contributing to its aerodynamic efficiency and distinctive silhouette.

Inside, the e-tron GT boasts a modern, high-tech cabin with ample space for passengers and luggage. The seats are supportive and comfortable, with plenty of legroom and headroom and a range of adjustment options.

As for boot space, the GT Saloon offers a 366-litre boot, which is accessed through a small boot opening. There's also an 81-litre storage area under the bonnet, although the enormous bag housing the charging wires almost entirely takes this up.

Interior and Trims

The Audi e-tron GT Saloon interior combines luxury, space and sportiness.

Inside, it boasts a modern, high-tech cabin with a minimalist dashboard, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, and a 10.1-inch infotainment display. The seats are supportive and comfortable, with a range of adjustment options, while the materials used throughout the cabin are of high quality, with leather, Alcantara, and sustainable materials used throughout.

Two trim levels are available: Standard and Vorsprung.

Standard e-tron GT Saloon models come with 20-inch alloy wheels, a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with built-in satnav, plus Apple CarPlay/Android Auto connectivity, Virtual Cockpit digital instrument display, leather upholstery and heated front seats. It also comes with three-zone climate control, cruise control, front and rear parking sensors with reversing camera, a power boot lid and LED headlights.

Top-of-the-range Vorsprung models add extra features, including adaptive suspension, all-wheel-steering, Matrix LED headlights, Nappa leather upholstery, and ventilated, massaging, electrically-adjustable sports seats with memory function in the front. It also adds a heated steering wheel, a Bang & Olufsen stereo, a head-up display, adaptive cruise control and night vision assist.

Power and Performance

Like its sister car, the Porsche Taycan Saloon, the Audi e-tron GT uses two electric motors, one to drive the front wheels and a second to drive the rears.

Both versions of the Audi e-tron GT Saloon feature a dual-motor setup that powers all four wheels, creating an all-wheel-drive system. The electric motors are powered by an 85-kWh lithium-ion battery pack mounted low in the car's chassis to improve handling.

The e-tron GT quattro produces a maximum power output of 469 horsepower and allows the car to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.9 seconds and reach a top speed of 152 mph.

The RS e-tron GT is even more powerful, with a maximum power output of 590 horsepower (440 kW) and 612 lb-ft (830 Nm) of torque. This allows the car to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.1 seconds and reach a top speed of 155 mph (250 km/h).

Both trims feature adaptive air suspension, allowing the car to adjust the ride height and stiffness based on the road conditions and driving style. Additionally, the e-tron GT features rear-wheel steering, which provides improved handling and stability at high speeds.

Overall, the Audi e-tron GT Saloon is an impressive vehicle that offers a unique combination of performance, luxury, and sustainability. While it's not the most affordable car on the market, it's a great choice for anyone who wants a high-end electric vehicle that can deliver both speed and sustainability.
