Simon BMW 1 Series 128ti Step Auto

Awesome hatchback - great performance, very comfortable (even with sports suspension and low pro tyres), full of kit. Only slight issues are you only get low 30s mpg (and less than that if you use its 260 bhp!). You can use eco mode to save some fuel but it is terrible when at a junction - I think youâ€™d get a quicker response from the engine when pulling away if you sent a carrier pigeon! Fortunately you can mitigate this quickly by putting the gearbox in sport mode, by knocking the gearstick sideways then putting it back to normal once youâ€™re moving again.

Is BMW Series 1 a good car to lease?
