Why Lease The 2 Series Active Tourer?
Even though the BMW 2 Series Active Tourer is BMW's first toe into the water that is the MPV class, it already is a more than viable alternative to the Mercedes B Class, the Ford C-MAX MPV, and the Volkswagen Golf SV, and even a more practical option than its siblings BMW 1 Series and BMW 2 Series Coupe.
With two available engines at this moment in time (a 2.0-litre BMW 218d diesel and a 1.5-litre BMW 218i turbocharged petrol) – although more are promised - the BMW 2 Series Active Tourer is also the German car manufacturer's first-ever front-wheel-drive BMW.
With models available from SE right through to M Sport, the standard specification is of good quality -in keeping with the interior standard - and includes alloy wheels, electrically folding rear seats, two-zone climate control and a DAB digital radio, with the higher-range models adding in leather seats, sports suspension and xDrive four-wheel drive.

The most economical is The BMW 218d diesel is most economical (68.8mpg fuel economy and 109g/km CO2 emissions), but the of 1.5-litre BMW 218i turbocharged petrol engine isn't far off with 57.6mpg and 115g/km statistics.
And, even though that front-wheel drive exists, the BMW engineers have fine-tuned the 2 Series Active Tourer to exacting BMW standards to ensure the sportier capability.
With more petrol and diesel engines to follow - including a future top-of-the-range four-wheel-drive BMW 220d xDrive model - leasing the 2 Series Active Tourer is almost automatic.
