Nationwide Vehicle Contracts has some excellent leasing offers on the BMW 2 Series Coupe at outstanding prices.
BMW 2 Series Coupe Key Features
• An evolution and upgrade for the BMW 1 Series Coupe;
• Sleeker design with longer wheelbase and lower roofline;
• Comfortable and refined four-seater interior;
• Surprisingly practical, with increased headroom, legroom and storage space;
• Available with BMW’s most powerful petrol and diesel engines
Power & Performance
As a high-performance version of the BMW 1 Series hatchback, the BMW 2 Series Coupe can be fitted with some of the most powerful engines ever made for a BMW production model. All models are rear-wheel drive, and all engines are available with either six-speed manual or eight-speed automatic transmission.
A four-cylinder 220i petrol engine is available, but the fastest model is the BMW 2 Series M235i. Fitted with a twin-turbo 3.0 litre 326bhp petrol engine, it’s capable of achieving 0-60mph in less than five seconds, with an electronically limited top speed of 155mph.
There’s also a choice of three 2.0 litre diesel engines, the most powerful of which is the 218bhp 225d, which generates a titanic 332 lb-ft of torque. If you’re looking for a more efficient sporty experience, go for the 218d, which is capable of 67mpg with CO2 emissions as low as 111g/km.
The BMW 2 Series is available at three trim levels – Sport, Modern and M Sport. The M Sport gives the sportiest possible experience, with 10mm lower suspension, 17-inch wheels, bespoke dampers, the advanced M Sport braking system and shorter springs, painted red. There’s also a Driving Assistant pack, which adds lane-departure and collision-warning systems.
One of the most welcome upgrades from the outgoing 1 Series Coupe is the addition of extra headroom, legroom and storage space that arises from the longer wheelbase. With its spacious interior and its 390 litre boot, the BMW 2 Series Coupe is surprisingly practical for a high-performance 3-door sports car.
The four-seater interior is as refined as you might expect from BMW, with an impressive range of features and equipment. Fitted as standard are rear parking sensors, air conditioning, a sports leather steering wheel, LED rear lights and an auto dimming rear-view mirror.
On top of the standard features, higher trim levels add sports seats, alloy wheels and a choice of high-quality trims and materials including gloss, dark pearl, leather and Alcantara.
