Initial rental (upfront payment)
Choose an initial rental from 1 to 12 months (e.g. 1+, 3+, 6+, 9+, 12+). As a general rule, the higher the upfront, the lower the monthly payments. The total cost over the term broadly stays similar.

Annual mileage
Standard options run from 5,000 to 37,500 miles per year. Need more? Get in touch as some funders can approve up to 50,000 miles p.a. Just note that at very high mileages, a BMW lease can become less cost-effective, and excess mileage charges apply if you exceed your agreed limit.

Unlike a purchase agreement in which you put down a deposit, with a lease agreement, you pay an initial rental. Your initial rental essentially acts as your first payment and is part of the lease contract, meaning it is non-refundable. 

When leasing a BMW, your initial rental can be customised to suit your needs and budget. Most BMW lease car customers choose an initial rental equivalent to three or six-months monthly rentals to help reduce their monthly rental amount, but you can choose an initial rental as low as one monthly rental upfront to help keep upfront costs down.

Business lease (BCH)

• Cover the vehicle on your company or fleet policy with appropriate business use.

• Ensure any regular drivers are authorised and insured under the policy.

Optional (not included as standard)

• GAP insurance for extra protection if the car is written off or stolen.

• Maintenance package (servicing, tyres, wear items) to fix costs over the term.

Tip: Insurers may ask for the finance provider’s details and the contract term; have your order documents to hand when setting up your policy.

What’s included within the lease?

• Manufacturer warranty: BMW new-car warranty (typically 3 years) covers defects, not wear-and-tear.

• Roadside assistance: Included for the warranty period.

• Road tax (VED): Included for the lease term.

• Not included: Routine servicing, MOTs (from year 3), tyres, brakes, and other wear items unless you add a maintenance contract.

Optional maintenance contract (fixed monthly)

A maintenance contract typically includes:

• Routine servicing and maintenance for the duration of the contract
• Mechanical repairs due to fair wear and tear including batteries and exhausts
• MOT tests (if applicable)
• Tyre repair and/or like-for-like replacement (exclusions apply)
• Breakdown assistance (dependent upon finance provider)
• Service booking and management service
• Vehicle collection and delivery (where available)
• Complimentary vehicle wash and vacuum (dependent upon finance provider)

What it doesn't cover:

• Repairs or replacements due to driver induced faults (e.g. lack of regular maintenance/servicing)
• Damage sustained in a road traffic accident or caused by malicious damage or vandalism
• Missing, stolen or broken items e.g. bent aerials, missing hub caps
• Tyre and wheel replacements caused by abuse, neglect, theft, vandalism or sidewall damage
• Excessive tyre replacements due to punctures
• Damaged windscreen and/or glass replacement
• Misfuelling
• Consumables (e.g. oil, lubricant and fluid top ups or AdBlue, unless part of the service)

1) Configure your BMW & deal
Pick the model/trim, term, annual mileage, initial rental (e.g. 1, 3, 6, 9 or 12 months up front) and optional maintenance.

2) Complete the online finance application
You’ll be asked for:

• Personal lease (PCH): full name, date of birth, five-year address history, three-year employment history, income and regular outgoings, driving licence details, and bank details for Direct Debit.

• Business lease (BCH): company name, registration number, registered/ trading address, VAT status, nature of business, director/partner details and home addresses, plus recent accounts or bank statements (sole traders provide personal info as above).

3) Underwriting & checks (subject to status)
The funder runs affordability and credit checks and may ask for supporting documents (e.g. photo ID, proof of address, recent payslips/bank statements). Most decisions land within 1–2 working days.

4) E-sign & order
Once approved, you’ll e-sign the finance agreement. We’ll allocate an in-stock vehicle or place a factory order and confirm an estimated delivery date.

5) Delivery & first payment
Your initial rental is collected by Direct Debit (timing varies by funder). Delivery is arranged to your chosen UK address.
