The BYD Seal U is available in the UK as a plug-in hybrid car. It combines a 1.5-litre petrol engine with an 18.3kWh battery and either a single or dual electric motor.

Yes, the BYD Seal U is available with four-wheel drive. Opt for the range-topping Design spec, and an extra electric motor gets added to the rear axle, allowing for all-wheel drive.
All other configurations come with front-wheel drive.
The BYD Seal U has a boot space of 425 litres, which should be enough for most young families. When the rear seats are folded, boot space increases to 1,440 litres.
