I like how comfortable and refined the Cactus is. It’s very easy to drive and well equipped for the price. The suspension is great and the acceleration is surprisingly quick. The manual gear box is very easy to use. Points I don’t like, some of the interior plastics are very cheap indeed but honestly for the price it’s really not a problem.
On the whole I like the vehicle. I find it to be a relatively easy drive - although my partner finds the gears a bit sticky. It is good on long journeys and around town. Although I feel it could do with a little more head room and it might be a bit low on the ground because it certainly doesn't seem to like bumps. But on the whole am happy with it.
We loved the previous model, Obsidian Black Deisel 1.5 to bits so much so we turned a 2 yr lease into 4 yrs and were very sad to see it go. A real head turner. Specifically searched for the new model and could not beleive the great deal from Nationwide via ALD. 1.2 Pure Tech SS110. Sadly no air bumps on this one but performance and comfort level even better. Only did 5k last year so did not justify continuing with deisel so mpg naturally dropped frm 54 to 38 still not bad with our mileage per year.
Cheap to run. Easy to drive. Nothing negative to say about the car. Only problem is with the contract. Because of the lockdown I am doing much less mileage than anticipated when I took out the deal. There are penalties for excess mileage. There should be refunds at the end of the contract for unused mileage.
