The car is low cost. There are irritating things with the car such as squeaky brakes. No physical switches for AC, radio etc. The lane warning system is dangerous on country lanes; there should be an option to turn the warning off. The centre console and door pockets have no lining to stop bottles cup rattling. The in-built wireless phone charger makes the phone I have dangerously hot, I want to disable it. There has been issues with the main display module which required a breakdown technician to fix.

Great car overall. No issues and drives great. Uses slightly more fuel than anticipated on non motorway roads. Probably will go electric next vehicle

Good car. Monthly cost is good. Had no mechanical issues although infotainment system is constantly crashing - my previous A3 did the same...VAG group really need to up their game. Comfort good, mpg good, road holding good. Build quality is OK, not as good as a 1 series but on par with Golf etc. Seems to have more space in the back than the previous A3. It's a good all-rounder. Wouldn't get another but that's just down to me not getting the same car twice. Unlikely to get a modern VAG though. The infotainment is horrendous and the non-backlit controls are ludicrous.

The vehicle is stylish and well equipped however the manual gearbox is truly awful, probably the worst I've ever driven and the lack of illuminating physical buttons makes winter driving a real pain verging on dangerous.

I don't like when the vehicle indicates that you have a tyre underinflated. It does not indicate whether the tyre is 1 PSI underinflated or 21PSI underinflated. I have been in other vehicles where you can physically see each tyre pressure even when driving. I do not like that my vehicle does not appear to have heated external wing mirrors. I do not like the way most of the controls are on the display unit but thats because previous vehicles i have driven have had independent controls for the likes of heating and media but I am getting used to it now.

Overall, I am very pleased with my choice of car. Since taking possession, I have had an issue with the electric sunroof (temperamental opening and closing), together with another recall. Luckily, the servicing facilities provided by Vospers Cupra in Exeter, have resolved these issues with minimal fuss. They also provided a complimentary vehicle whilst the work was carried out. Performance is on the upper limits of a front wheel drive car. 245 BHP result in the car being a bit twitchy if road conditions are slightly damp. That said the car is great fun to drive. The handling provided by my previous Seat Leon Cupra ST300 was far superior. Build quality on the Cupra Leon and the technology is a vastly superior to the Seat. Overall, the car has met my expectations, but with the benefit of hindsight, I would probably chose the 4 wheel drive estate.
