Design, Practicality and Boot Space

One area where the DS3 Electric Crossback shines is in its safety features. It comes equipped with a suite of advanced safety technologies, including adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, and automatic emergency braking. Additionally, it has received a 5-star Euro NCAP safety rating, further highlighting its safety credentials.

DS DS3 Electric exterior

From an exterior standpoint, the DS3 Electric Crossback is striking and elegant, with a sporty yet refined design. Its unique LED headlights and tail lights add to its distinctive look.

Inside, the cabin is well-designed, with premium materials and a comfortable layout. However, passenger space isn't as good in the rear as in the Kia Niro EV. There is also little legroom in the DS3, especially if you are tall, and the downward-sloping roofline eats up head space.

As for boot space, the DS3 Electric Crossback can hold 350 litres of room, which is around 100 litres down on the MINI Countryman and Volkswagen T-Roc.

Interior and Trims

The DS3 Electric Crossback has one of the most eye-catching interiors of any electric car, but some elements can be a little challenging to use due to all the fine details. The DS 3 interior comes with a fence-like pattern of interlocking diamond switches situated over several similarly angular air vents instead of traditional rows of square buttons.

A 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system is standard on entry-level DS 3 Crossback E-Tense Performance Line models, and it's situated high on the dashboard, so it's simple to glance at while you're driving. You can also read the screen in direct sunshine because it is reasonably bright and sharp.

Five trim levels are available: Bastille, Performance Line, Performance Line +, Rivoli and Louvre.

Bastille models, as standard, have 17-inch alloy wheels, tinted rear windows, flush door handles, a digital driver's display, a 7.0-inch infotainment touchscreen and bronze cloth comfort seats.

Performance Line models get 17-inch alloy wheels, pop-out door handles, LED brake lights and a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with built-in satellite navigation. Also come with air conditioning, keyless ignition, height-adjustable front seats and rear parking sensors.

Performance Line + models add 18-inch alloy wheels, keyless entry and go, privacy glass, leather sports steering wheel and aluminium sports pedals.

Rivoli models come with DS Matrix LED headlights, an upgraded 10.0-inch infotainment touchscreen, a reversing camera and the advanced safety park feature.

Top-of-the-range Louvre models come with exclusive 'Luxor' 18-inch alloy wheels, premium Black Nappa leather seats with a watch strap-style pattern and a collection of Louvre detailing and badging inside and out.

Power and Performance

Under the bonnet, DS offers the DS3 Electric Crossback in a 100% electric E-TENSE battery.

DS DS3 Electric interior

The DS3 Electric Crossback is powered by a 50 kWh battery that can provide up to 200 miles of range on a single charge, making it an ideal vehicle for daily commutes and city driving. It also boasts a 0-60 mph acceleration time of just 8.7 seconds, making it quick and agile on the road. The vehicle's regenerative braking system also helps to recharge the battery and increase its range.

Overall, the DS3 Electric Crossback is an excellent choice for anyone looking for a stylish and eco-friendly crossover SUV. It offers a comfortable and engaging driving experience, with impressive range and performance, while also contributing to reducing environmental impact. Its advanced safety features and sleek design make it a standout option in its class.
