Design, Practicality and Boot Space

The Ford Focus Estate shares its design language with the popular Ford Focus hatchback but offers a longer and more spacious rear end. The overall design is sleek and modern, featuring clean lines and a sporty stance. The front end typically incorporates a bold grille and angular headlights, giving it a distinctive and dynamic look. The rear of the vehicle extends into a larger cargo area, maintaining a cohesive design with the rest of the vehicle.

Ford Focus Estate Exterior

The Ford Focus Estate is designed with practicality in mind. It offers a spacious and versatile interior that can comfortably accommodate both passengers and cargo. The rear seats can be folded down in a 60/40 split to create a flat loading floor, allowing for easy transportation of larger items. With the rear seats up, the Focus Estate provides ample legroom and headroom for rear passengers. The cabin also features various storage compartments, cup holders, and door pockets for convenient storage of smaller items. Overall, the Focus Estate is well-suited for daily commuting, family trips, and hauling larger loads.

The boot space of the Ford Focus Estate is one of its standout features. With the rear seats in place, it offers a generous amount of cargo space compared to other vehicles in its class. The exact boot capacity can vary depending on the specific model and configuration, but it typically ranges from around 575 litres to 1,650 litres with the rear seats folded down.

Interior and Trims

The interior of the Ford Focus Estate is designed to be comfortable, functional, and driver-focused. It features a modern and well-organized layout with quality materials and finishes. The cabin offers a good balance between comfort and practicality, providing ample space for both the driver and passengers.

Depending on the trim level and optional packages chosen, the Focus Estate can come equipped with various features and technologies. These may include a touchscreen infotainment system, smartphone integration (such as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto), Bluetooth connectivity, USB ports, satellite navigation, and a premium audio system.

The seating in the Focus Estate is generally supportive and comfortable, with adjustments available for both the driver and front passenger. Rear passengers also have sufficient legroom and headroom for a comfortable ride. The layout of the dashboard and controls is ergonomic and intuitive, allowing for easy access to essential functions while minimizing distractions.

Four trim levels are available: ST-Line, Titanium, Titanium X and ST-Line X

ST-Line variants of the Ford Focus Estate have a more athletic appearance thanks to 17-inch alloy wheels, twin exhausts, and a complete ST body kit that includes a prominent spoiler. Inside, the sporty theme continues with a flat-bottomed steering wheel, an aluminium gear knob, sports pedals, and stylish red stitching. While the suspension is slightly lower for a sportier ride, other features remain consistent with the Zetec model, such as cruise control, lane keep assist, and an 8-inch touchscreen with smartphone mirroring.

Titanium models of the Ford Focus Estate offer a high level of equipment. The exterior is adorned with 16-inch alloy wheels, a chrome grille, cornering fog lights, and LED rear lights. Inside the cabin, you can enjoy ambient lighting, an 8-inch touchscreen, and climate control while relaxing in heated seats. Additional features include satellite navigation, rain-sensing wipers, keyless entry, cruise control, and front and rear parking sensors.

Titanium X models are identical to the Ford Focus Titanium but also include 17-inch alloy wheels, privacy glass, partial leather seats, and power adjustment for the driver's seat.

ST-Line X variant, you'll find 18-inch alloy wheels, red brake callipers, and tinted windows that enhance its visual appeal. Many features from the regular ST-Line carry-over, such as lowered suspension and an aggressive body kit. In addition, front and rear parking sensors, automatic wipers, climate control, and heated partial leather seats are included. The infotainment system receives an upgrade with an 8-inch touchscreen featuring satellite navigation and smartphone mirroring.

Power and Performance

The Ford Focus Estate offers a range of powertrains designed to provide a balance of performance and fuel efficiency. The Focus Estate typically offers a variety of petrol and diesel engine options. The exact engines available may vary based on the market and model year. Petrol engines often include turbocharged EcoBoost engines with different power outputs, providing a good mix of performance and efficiency. Diesel engines, on the other hand, offer higher torque figures and improved fuel economy, making them well-suited for long-distance driving.

Ford Focus Estate Interior

The performance of the Ford Focus Estate can vary depending on the engine and drivetrain configurations. The more powerful gasoline engines and diesel engines generally offer brisk acceleration and ample power for everyday driving. The Focus Estate is known for its responsive handling and agility, providing an engaging driving experience, particularly on curvy roads. The suspension setup is typically tuned to strike a balance between comfort and sportiness.

Overall, the Ford Focus Estate is a remarkable vehicle that brings together practicality, versatility, and driving excitement. Its sleek design, spacious interior, and advanced features make it a top choice in the compact estate car segment. Whether you're looking for a family-friendly car or a versatile daily driver, the Focus Estate delivers on all fronts. With its impressive performance, comfortable cabin, and modern technology, the Ford Focus Estate is a standout choice that will make every journey an enjoyable one.

Anthony Ford Focus Estate 1.5 EcoBlue 120 Titanium X Edition

Good - excellent fuel consumption if driven carefully. Quite a bit of oomph if not :) Plenty of load space. Bad - NO handbook - A car with this degree of complexity, incredible. CD -Player - great that it has one but what a stupid place to locate it - the glove compartment !
