There's two battery options. The entry-level Pro trim gets a 35kWh battery and up to 156 miles of range, while Max and Ultra models get the bigger 47kWh battery with up to 214 miles of range. 

Performance is steady around town, but with the 47kWh battery maxing out at 85kW, you'll find motorway driving sluggish at times, especially if you've got a boot full or a couple of passengers on board. 

The EX2 looks like your classic Chinese EV. It's got curved edges, a funky front end, and interesting head and rear lights. Inside, it's a nice blend of frugality and function. The dashboard flows from window to window, and is one of the better-looking units in the market. 

Alongside five seats and adult-friendly rear space, there’s a 375-litre boot, 70-litre front storage area and no fewer than 36 storage spaces throughout the cabin.

A 14.6-inch touchscreen and 8.8-inch driver display sit at the heart of the cabin, alongside Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. You’ll also get useful safety technology as standard, including adaptive cruise control and automatic emergency braking. Ultra models add extras such as a 360-degree camera, wireless phone charging and over-the-air software updates.

There's three trims to choose from: Pro, Max and Ultra. 

The EX2 might be a small EV, but it’s certainly not small in terms of character or practicality. Well suited to commuters, city drivers and small families, it’s an easy-going everyday option that should make life behind the wheel feel stress-free. Add up to 214 miles of range, generous standard equipment and an affordable price, and it makes a very convincing package.
