The Genesis GV70 Electric is an impressive addition to the luxury electric SUV market. From its sleek and sporty exterior to its advanced technology and features, the GV70 Electric is sure to turn heads.

Rivals to the Genesis GV70 Electric include the BMW iX, Audi Q8 e-tron, Jaguar I-Pace, Tesla Model Y and Volvo C40.

Design, Practicality and Boot Space

The GV70 Electric has a bold and modern design, with a sleek and aerodynamic profile that sets it apart from other SUVs in its class. The front of the car features the distinctive Genesis Crest grille, paired with slim LED headlights and a sculpted hood. The car's body is defined by sharp lines and curves, giving it a sense of athleticism and agility.

Genesis GV70 Electric exterior

Inside, the GV70 Electric boasts a spacious, luxurious cabin with a minimalist dashboard and advanced technology features. The seats are comfortable and supportive, with plenty of adjustment options. The GV70 Electric also comes with various advanced safety features, including blind-spot monitoring, lane-departure warning, and automatic emergency braking.

As for boot space, the Genesis GV70 Electric has lost some room space over the petrol or diesel Genesis GV70 models. The boot of the GV70 Electrified is 503 litres, which is down from the 542 litres of the standard car. However, an additional 25 litres under the bonnet is useful for storing your charging cables. Compared to its rivals, the GV70 falls well short of the Audi Q8 e-tron's 605 litres but betas the BMW iX's 500-litre boot capacity.

Interior and Trims

The interior of the GV70 Electric is equally impressive, with a spacious and well-designed cabin that's packed with cutting-edge technology. The infotainment system is intuitive and easy to use, and it includes features like a large touchscreen display, smartphone integration, and voice-activated controls. The seating is comfortable, and the materials used throughout the cabin are of the highest quality, making for a truly luxurious driving experience.

One sole trim level available: Sport

Sport models come well-equipped, with 19-inch alloy wheels, dual LED headlights, leather seats and steering wheel, a 14.5-inch infotainment display and an extensive suite of driver assistance systems. Unfortunately, although it's called a Sport, this package has no sporty upgrades.

Power and Performance

Under the bonnet, Genesis keeps it simple, offering the GV70 Electric with just one motor setup and one trim.

Genesis GV70 Electric interior

The GV70 Electric gets one electric motor mounted on each axle for all-wheel drive and has a total output of 495hp with 700Nm of torque. It draws its power from a 77.4kWh battery pack, allowing up to 283 miles on a single charge.

When it comes to performance, the GV70 Electric doesn't disappoint. Its electric powertrain provides instant torque and smooth acceleration, and the handling is responsive and precise. The ride is quiet and smooth, making it a pleasure to drive on both city streets and highways.

Overall, the Genesis GV70 Electric is a standout luxury electric SUV that will impress even the most discerning drivers. Its advanced technology, impressive range, and luxurious interior make it a great choice for anyone looking for a practical yet stylish electric vehicle.
