Car Leasing with Maintenance
When you lease a car, it is important to look after it. You must maintain and service the vehicle before you return it to the finance provider at the end of your lease.
With a car lease maintenance package, you ensure your car will be in a condition that complies with the fair wear and tear guidelines when you return it. If you decide not to take out a maintenance contract with your lease vehicle, you will be responsible for all maintenance and servicing expenses throughout the duration of your contract.
At Nationwide Vehicle Contracts, we offer a vehicle maintenance contract when taking out a lease agreement that includes all scheduling servicing, replacement tyres, MOT and other repair costs (exclusions apply) that may be required during the contract term. Qualified technicians will also carry out any work on your vehicle at accredited garages, so you can rest assured that your vehicle is in safe hands.
Key benefits of our maintenance packages
Fixed Monthly Cost
Spread the cost of routine maintenance and servicing over the lease and protect against growing inflation costs by agreeing to a fixed fee at the beginning of the contract.
Minimise Downtime
Take advantage of the preferred booking times, extended garage opening hours and regular status updates from the dedicated driver team, helping minimise delays and limit disruption.
Accredited Garages
Your vehicle will be in safe hands as qualified technicians at accredited garages will carry out any work required on your car.
VAT Recoverable
If your company is VAT registered, the maintenance portion of your lease is 100% recoverable from VAT.
Things covered in our maintenance packages
The finance provider offers maintenance contracts and can vary from policy to policy. Typically, maintenance agreements include the following:
- Servicing and maintenance for the length of the contract
- MOT tests (if applicable)
- Mechanical repairs because of fair wear and tear, including exhausts and batteries
- Breakdown assistance (dependent upon finance provider)
- Tyre repair and/or like-for-like replacement (exclusions apply)
- Service booking and management service
- Vehicle delivery and collection (where available)
- Free vehicle wash and vacuum (dependent upon finance provider)
If you are after taking a maintenance contract with your lease agreement, Nationwide Vehicle Contracts will provide a complete list of inclusions and exclusions offered by your finance provider.
Things not covered in our maintenance packages
There are exclusions that the maintenance contract will not cover, just like with any other kind of contract. This includes:
- Repairs or replacements because of driver induced faults (e.g. lack of regular maintenance/servicing)
- Damage sustained in a road traffic accident or caused by malicious damage or vandalism
- Tyre and wheel replacements caused by abuse, neglect, theft, vandalism or sidewall damage
- Missing, stolen or broken items, e.g. bent aerials, missing hub caps
- Excessive tyre replacements due to punctures
- Damaged windscreen and/or glass replacement
- Misfuelling
- Consumables (e.g. oil, lubricant and fluid top ups or AdBlue, unless part of the service)
