My previous vehicle was the same model, bur pre facelift, and it was hugely more economical. My present vehicle is at approximately 20-25% less economical despite having essentially the same petrol engine/hybrid setup and therefore is very disappointing. Indeed, I would change it immediately if I could.

I appreciate that there is an element of luck when buying anything new, sometimes they breakdown and sometimes they don’t. This is my 5th leased car. Had 2 fords, a Mercedes and a Mazda. None of them broke down and I had each for 3 years. Year one with the Tucson. 3 weeks after receiving the car it was in the garage and needed a new power steering motor. 11 months later it’s booked in again. Cameras and parking sensors have all stopped working and it’s not just a fuse. Getting an appointment with a Hyundai dealer means at least a month wait, close to 2. Breakdowns aside, it’s a nice comfortable car. Boot space not as good as a cx5 due to the inner wheel arches which protrude a bit more. Other minor niggle is when you have the speed limiter on, moving off from standstill is very very slow with graduated speed increase. On Mazda it still pulled off at normal speed when limiter was on. Could probably be adjusted via software update.

Excellent car, comfortable, economical and plenty of tech. Takes a little while to get your head around all of it. Great road trip cruiser. Not suitable if you're are only doing short trips locally IMHO. For me, ideal.

The screen in the car has been faulty and frequently flickers and goes off meaning no reversing camera or sat nav availability and when it is completely blank no means to use phone as no screen to use radio phone etc . Taken 6 weeks to get apt to fix it and broke again within minutes of vehicle being returned another 4 weeks wait for next apt to fit new screen. Very expensive for a car that had a lot of faults. Phone charging may overheats the phone so cannot be used
