Google Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google Inc, (hereafter referred to as “Google”). Google Analytics uses "cookies", or text files stored on your computer that permit analysis of your use of the website. Google will use this information on behalf of the operator of this website to evaluate your use of the website, compile reports about website activity and provide other services to the website operator related to the use of the website and internet usage.
We also use the technical extension "Google Signals", which enables cross-device tracking. This makes it possible to assign an individual website visitor to different end devices. However, this only happens if the visitor has logged in to a Google service when visiting a website and has activated the option "personalized advertising" in his Google account settings at the same time. Even then, however, no personal data or user profiles are accessible to us; they remain anonymous to us.
If you do not want "Google Signals" to be used, you can disable the "Personalized advertising" option in your Google Account preferences. Should you wish to opt out of Google Analytic tracking across all websites please visit: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. You can also prevent the collection of data generated by the cookie related to your use of the website (including your IP address) by Google, as well as the processing of this data by Google, by downloading and installing the browser plugin available through the following link: Browser add-on for disabling Google Analytics. Please note, you may find that some parts of the site will not function properly if you refuse cookies.
Google Remarketing
From time to time, Nationwide Vehicle Contracts may use remarketing, re-engagement or similar audiences via Google Ads. Both first- and third-party data can be used for these purposes, such as, but not limited to, information shared with Nationwide Vehicle Contracts in forms and browser-based cookies, respectively. This is largely on Google Search through the use of Remarketing Lists for Search Ads (RLSA) but could also include the Google Display Network where tailored adverts are shown to previous customers or site users as they browse other websites. All data collected and shared remains anonymous and is processed by Google, as per their data policy.
Should you wish to, you can opt out of ad personalisation using Google’s Ad Settings. Further information on ad personalisation can be found here and information on controlling your device’s ad settings can be found here.
Google Ads
Our website uses Google conversion tracking. If you reached our website through an ad placed on Google, Google Ads will place a cookie on your computer. The cookie for conversion tracking is set when a user clicks an ad placed on Google. These cookies expire after 30 days and cannot be used for personal identification. If the user visits certain pages on our website and the cookie has not expired yet, we and Google can detect that the user clicked on the ad and was redirected to this page. Every Google Ads customer receives a different cookie. Thus cookies cannot be used to trace Google Ads customers through the websites. The information obtained using the conversion cookie serves to generate conversion statistics for Google Ads customers who have opted for conversion tracking. The customer receives the total number of users that clicked on their ad and were redirected to a site with a conversion tracking tag. However, they will not receive any information that could be used to personally identify users.
If you do not want to participate in tracking, you can decline the setting of cookies required for this – for example through the browser setting that generally disables the automatic setting of cookies or by adjusting your browser so that cookies from the domain “googleadservices.com” are blocked.
Please note that you may not delete opt-out cookies as long as you do not want any measurement data recorded. If you have deleted all the cookies in your browser, you will need to reset the respective opt-out cookie.
Please read Google business safety & privacy and terms site for more information.
Statsig
To improve our website experience and ensure new features, layouts, and services deliver genuine value, we use a platform called Statsig. Its primary purpose is to run A/B testing and controlled experiments, allowing us to understand how different versions of our website perform before rolling out changes to everyone. Statsig helps us compare variations in content, design, and functionality, enabling data-driven decisions that enhance usability, performance, and relevance for all visitors.
In addition, Statsig may include session recording functionality, which allows us to review anonymised user interactions such as clicks, scrolls, and navigation paths. These session recordings help us identify usability issues and ensure our website works as intended.
When you visit our site, Statsig may collect usage data such as:
The pages you visit and how long you spend on them.
Clicks, scrolls, and general interactions with our content.
Basic browser, device, and operating system information.
A randomly assigned identifier to distinguish between different test groups.
Device and session metadata, such as your IP address and device details.
Statsig does not collect personally identifiable information (such as your name, email, or financial data) by default, and it does not use any data collected for marketing or advertising purposes. However, any additional personal data passed into Statsig to enrich experiments is entirely in your control.
Since Statsig operates through cookies and anonymous event tracking, you can disable non-essential cookies through our cookie preference manager. This will prevent Statsig from assigning you to any experiments.
For more details on how Statsig handles data, you can view their Privacy Policy.
Microsoft Clarity
We have installed a Microsoft Clarity cookie on our site. Clarity captures the interactions on our website such as how the page has rendered and what interactions users undertake such as mouse movements, clicks, scrolls, etc. By default, any sensitive content such as passwords, usernames, etc. are masked before sending to Clarity. Clarity is GDPR complaint as a data controller.
Please read Microsoft's Clarity privacy policy for more information.

From time to time, we may participate in Facebook's Custom Audience program which enables us to display personalised ads to persons on our email lists when they visit Facebook.com. This tool allows Nationwide Vehicle Contracts to upload your email address and/or phone number to Facebook to enable Facebook to determine if you are a registered account holder with Facebook in order for us to deliver ads that are more relevant to you.
