Power & Performance

Whether you prefer petrol or diesel, the Mercedes-Benz C-Class Estate offers a fantastic balance between thrilling and responsive power and impressive efficiency. This is largely in part to the new BlueEFFICIENCY optimisation found within selected engines across the range. Thanks to improved manual and automatic transmission and ECO Start/Stop technology, the Mercedes-Benz C-Class Estate is capable of up to 65.7mpg, with CO2 emissions as low as 114g/km.

The diesel range includes four BlueEFFICIENCY optimised engines – the C 200 CDI, the C 220 CDI, the C 250 CDI and the C 350 CDI. On the other hand, the petrol range includes two BlueEFFICIENCY optimised units – the C 180 and the C 250. There’s also a high performance C 63 AMG option for those who want a more powerful and sporty driving experience. With this engine, though you compromise on fuel efficiency, the Mercedes-Benz C-Class Estate is capable of achieving 0-62mph in a breathtaking 4.6 seconds.

Transmission is available as a standard 6-speed manual or an optional 7G-Tronic Plus 7-Speed Automatic. Safety and stability are enhanced by the acclaimed Mercedes Electronic Stability Programme (ESP).

Style, Sophistication, Comfort

The Mercedes-Benz C-Class Estate is beautifully refined with a range of comfort and convenience-oriented features. Longer journeys can be a breeze thanks to a range of features for the front seats including electrical memory adjustments, lumbar support and even optional contoured sports seats. An optional automatic climate control allows you to set your ideal temperature and airflow, and also features dust and carbon filters to ensure a fresh and airy cabin.

The dashboard’s been redesigned with a tactile grained finish to incorporate a large, full-colour central display for intuitive control of your car’s infotainment systems. The multifunction steering wheel comes as standard and the choice of luxurious trims include eucalyptus wood, nappa leather and brushed aluminium.

Finally, for everyday practicality, the interior can be reconfigured to boost the storage space from 485 to 1,500 litres.

Good car to drive and for its size pretty economical. Servicing costs aren't cheap but it is a Mercedes and I knew that.

Over all the car is excellent, my only minor issue is that the fuel tank is a little small for a large car.

As it was my choice of vehicle, I find it most practical as an estate, on long trips it seems to be very good on fuel. My only concern is regarding the servicing, I have been advised I can have it serviced at any genuine garage and get service log stamped by them. There is no service log and it seems to be digital only which I don't think they can update. I don't want to have a problem when I return vehicle at end of contract.

Overall I love the car. It’s smooth comfortable and fun to drive with enough HP to get you out of problems. It’s pretty economical with well over 50mpg on a run and in the 40s mpg on shorter distances. Limited leg room in the rear but I knew that when I chose it. The only minor niggle is that the sat nag has to reboot every time you turn the engine on. This can be a bit of a pain if you have just started a journey in an area you don’t know and are awaiting initial directions.
