Why Lease The CLA Coupe?

Bringing together the practicality of a compact saloon with the head-turning athleticism of a sporty coupe, the CLA is expected to follow in the footprints of its successful predecessors.

A distinctive diamond grille is joined to powerfully expressive rear haunches via an elegant sweeping roofline. The result..? Stunning aesthetics and outstanding aerodynamic performance. In fact, the CLA’s drag coefficient of just Cd 0.23 is amongst the lowest on any production car.

Everything about this car is contemporary and nowhere is it more evident than in the cabin. Up front lie a wealth of unique design elements, including jet turbine-style air vents. The finish throughout is exceptional, making the CLA a pleasure to drive. Influenced by some of the sportiest cars on the road, there is little compromise on comfort. Sports seats with integrated headrests offer excellent lateral support whilst seating driver and passenger so that they feel connected to the road.

Advanced technologies, innovative safety features and a robust chassis design come together in the CLA to provide ultimate peace of mind on every journey.

Mercedes CLA Key Features

•    Coupe styling, saloon practicality;
•    Distinctively sporty interior finishes;

Power & Performance

Every model in the CLA line up promises an agile and exhilarating driving experience. A supple suspension system swallows bumps in the road and really makes you feel planted. A choice between a 7G-DCT-7 speed automatic transmission and a 6 speed manual gearbox means that there is something to suit everybody regardless of driving style.

Two engines are available on this vehicle: the petrol driven CLA 180 and the diesel CLA 220 CDI. Both offer up respectable fuel consumption figures and produce emissions as low as 117g/km... Responsive acceleration means that 0-62mph is achievable in as little as 8.2 seconds.

Leasing vs Buying

If the CLA sounds like something you would be interested in, why not consider leasing as an alternative to buying? Leasing holds many advantages over buying a brand new car, including a low initial payment, fixed monthly instalments and flexible contract terms. Nationwide offer competitive lease rates on a huge range of cars, most of which are provided with inclusive road tax and breakdown recovery.

Perfect vehicle for what we needed within the company - good fuel economy on motorways, not so good on city travel.

from the day it was delivered it has had squeaky brakes, and was told they would bed in which they have not. The vehicle has been in the garage over 6 times in its first year because of this issue and they still have been unable to fix the squeaky brakes. I now do not drive the vehicle hence the 2k miles in its first year, this is an absolute waste of money and if I could return it I would. Got another 2 years of throwing away money :-( and for information the car is in the garage again tomorrow 27/07/21 for the seventh time to try and fix this frustrating issue.

You don't get a CLA with a view to practicality. I am 6ft, so when my seat is in proper driving position there is little legroom for a passenger in the rear behind me. In reallity this is a 2 + 2 due to reduced rear leg room. The A class hatch has more legroom in the back. I went for the 250 petrol engine (224bhp) and the performance is superb. However, you can't really use this power around town, so if I had another I would probably go for the 200 petrol engine (190 bhp) and have slightly better fuel consumption. Most of my driving is in local areas and I get a steady 29.4 mpg which is acceptable. On motorway runs I have noticed much better fuel consumption - around 35 - 36 mpg. I chose this car primarily for the new digital interface and it is excellent. It seems that you can't use the Internet connected services unless you pay separately for an online service. I thought the car might use my phone as a hotspot, but could not get it working. It may be possible but I just haven't worked out how to do it yet. Overall the car is excellent. I added the Executive + pack as I wanted memory seats, so as expected the car has a very high level of equipment. I have nothing bad to say about it. If I was being picky, I think it could do with the 9 speed gearbox, which would make it a little smoother, but it certainly isn't a problem with the car. The only other thing is that rear visibility is not brilliant due to the large C pillars at the back of the car, but that probably applies to half the cars on the market as well. Overall very pleased that we leased this car
