Good size and spec for reasonable price

I like the looks of the car and the engine and auto box are pretty decent. The 1.5 has not gave out the best mpg compared to my previous 2.0 in a Leon Cupra which gave the same mpg. The Ateca likes to wheel spin when wet which is extremely annoying, even with light throttle.

I have driven diesel engined cars for over 20 years and a car with a petrol engine does require some adaption of driving technique. That said, it is a very comfortable car and well suited to motorway and urban driving.

Just a great practical all round car with no major frills - made up with it and will be ordering another at end of lease 😃

A really good car for all the family

Within the first year of having this vehicle I have had to take it back to the garage for repairs that I do not expect a brand new car to have to have done. Within the first three months of having this car it had to go into the garage for the wipers to be replaced, the front washers we’re squirting water inside the passenger footwell instead of the outside window! The automatic locking on door handles we’re intimate so did not and still does not always work. Android auto is not compatible with the car as kept crashing I have now changed to apple and this does work better. Recently still when the car was less than a year old it had to go in for a new handbrake button as the automatic handbrake stopped working. I was informed that they could tell that this was not any fault of my own but was due to a faulty part that needed to be replaced. The front sensors also keep coming on whilst driving informing me of a fault . I have never been so dissatisfied with a car and can not wait for the lease to be up so I can get rid of it.

Love it

Likes: Speed, comfort, leg room, interior layout, rear camera, parking sensors, cruise control, anti collision and all round good looks. Dislikes: Traction control makes the car bounce as it tries to grip the road, seats get wet when you open doors after and during rain as water comes off roof of car. Mirror link will not work with my phone, although it says it should. Car randomly dials numbers on phone when linked. Sat nav is too s!ow, waze on phone much better hence my wanting to mirror link..These are minor issues, the positives far outweigh the negatives.
