Design, Practicality and Boot Space

The design of the new Vauxhall Mokka Hatchback is a standout feature, capturing attention with its modern and dynamic aesthetics. Vauxhall has adopted a bold design language characterized by sharp lines, striking contours, and a distinctive front grille. The vehicle has a compact yet muscular stance, giving it a contemporary and urban appeal. The LED lighting elements, both at the front and rear, add a touch of sophistication to the design. The interior design is equally impressive, focusing on a clean and ergonomic layout, utilizing quality materials for a comfortable and stylish ambience.

Vauxhall Mokka Hatchback Exterior

The Vauxhall Mokka Hatchback excels in practicality, making it an ideal choice for everyday use. Despite its compact exterior dimensions, the interior is intelligently designed to maximize space and utility. There's ample headroom and legroom for both front and rear occupants, ensuring a comfortable journey. The rear seats are also flexible, allowing for various configurations to accommodate passengers or expand cargo space. Additionally, the easy-to-use infotainment system and accessible controls contribute to the practicality of the vehicle, enhancing the overall driving experience.

The boot space in the Vauxhall Mokka Hatchback is commendable for its class. The rear cargo area is well-shaped and offers a generous amount of space to accommodate various items such as groceries, luggage, sports equipment, or other everyday necessities. With the rear seats upright, you'll find 350 litres of practical storage space. If you need more cargo room, the rear seats can be easily folded down to create a flat loading floor, expanding the storage capacity to 1,105 litres. This flexibility allows you to make the most of the available space to suit your needs, making the Mokka Hatchback a versatile choice for transporting goods and belongings.

Interior and Trims

The interior of the Vauxhall Mokka Hatchback exudes a sense of modernity and functionality. It's designed with a focus on creating a comfortable and user-friendly environment for both the driver and passengers. High-quality materials are used throughout the cabin, giving it a premium look and feel. The layout is clean and intuitive, with easy-to-reach controls and a driver-centric dashboard.

The infotainment system is a key feature, typically featuring a touchscreen interface with smartphone integration (such as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto), allowing for seamless connectivity and control of essential functions. Depending on the trim level, the infotainment system may vary in screen size and features, providing options to suit different preferences.

The seating is designed for comfort and support, providing ample adjustability to accommodate various body types. Both front and rear seats offer good legroom and headroom, ensuring a pleasant experience for all occupants. Overall, the interior of the Vauxhall Mokka Hatchback is well-suited for everyday driving, whether it's a short commute or a long road trip.

Three trim levels are available: Design, GS and Ultimate.

The introductory Design trim offers excellent value for money. It incorporates features like adaptive cruise control, a panoramic rear-view camera with sensors, and LED headlights, enhancing everyday driving. The silver 16-inch alloy wheels add to its appeal, and the 7-inch infotainment touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto provides modern connectivity.

For those seeking a sportier appearance in their Mokka, the GS model might be the ideal choice. It boasts a sleek black roof and headliner, complemented by 18-inch alloys with attractive red accents. The package also includes a 10-inch colour touchscreen featuring Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, climate control, a 12-inch digital instrument panel, and convenient keyless entry.

In contrast, the Ultimate trim might not emphasize a sporty look, but it offers a notably luxurious experience for a compact car. Alcantara seats contribute to the upscale ambiance. The real enhancements, however, come from the driving technology. The Matrix LED headlights ensure excellent nighttime visibility, and the standard inclusion of advanced park assist, capable of autonomously parking the car, adds to the trim's allure.

Power and Performance

The Vauxhall Mokka lineup provides a choice of two petrol engines, while the Mokka Electric variant offers emission-free driving. These options cater to efficient and tax-friendly preferences for company car drivers, particularly favouring the Mokka Electric model.

Starting with the basic offering, the 1.2-litre 100hp petrol engine featured in the Design, Black, and GS models offers a respectable 51.4mpg and emits 125g/km of emissions according to official figures. This engine is well-suited for urban driving, delivering adequate but not exceptional performance.

For those seeking more power, there's a 136hp version of the same petrol engine available across all trims, allowing a choice between a six-speed manual or eight-speed automatic gearbox. The manual option maintains good fuel efficiency, with Vauxhall claiming it achieves over 50mpg and 126g/km. Opting for the automatic gearbox does slightly impact efficiency, with official figures showing 47.1mpg and 134g/km. Interestingly, despite the slight reduction in power to 130hp with this gearbox, the difference in performance is hardly noticeable to the driver.

The new Vauxhall Mokka Hatchback is a standout choice in the competitive hatchback market. It offers a compelling blend of style, technology, performance, and safety, making it a worthy consideration for anyone seeking a versatile and efficient vehicle.

The car has been into the dealers 3 times for warranty issues. The hill assist is very erratic in so much as you cannot trust the car not to roll back. If I could get out of the lease and change to another car I would.

We, my wife and I, have enjoyed this car. We have found it comfortable, economical and with the height it gives good visability and is easy to find in a carpark(!) The down side is two fold. Firstly, the boot space is poor. Very poor. Secondly it is a die

The Vauxhall Mokka is quite a good car with lots of space in the cabin and is full of useful technology such as sat nav, climate control, parking sensors and cruise control. However it's suspension is quite unsettled over most road surfaces and does not offer very much driver enjoyment due to vague steering and slightly wooden brakes. This is no reflection on Nationwide Leasing as the service was first class throughout the whole buying process, only our choice of vehicle. I would recommend Nationwide to anyone seeking to lease a car and hopefully we will lease another car from them only not another Vauxhall Mokka.
