Design, Practicality and Boot Space

The Volkswagen ID.Buzz draws inspiration from the iconic Volkswagen Type 2 Microbus, but with a futuristic twist. The vehicle features a sleek, aerodynamic profile with a bold front grille and LED headlights, giving it a modern and stylish appearance.

The practicality of the ID.Buzz is evident in its spacious interior, which can comfortably accommodate up to eight passengers. The vehicle also offers ample headroom and legroom, making it a great choice for families or groups of friends. The seats can be configured in various ways, allowing for maximum flexibility and versatility. There is also plenty of storage space, including a large centre console and numerous cup holders, making it easy to keep the cabin organized and clutter-free.

One of the standout features of the ID.Buzz is its impressive boot space. The vehicle offers a generous 660 litres of cargo space, which can be expanded to 4,000 litres by folding down the rear seats. This makes the ID.Buzz an ideal vehicle for those who need to transport large items, such as furniture or sports equipment. The large sliding doors also make it easy to load and unload bulky items.

Interior and Trims

The Volkswagen ID.Buzz is an electric vehicle that has been designed to offer a modern and luxurious interior, while also paying homage to the iconic Type 2 Microbus. The interior of the ID.Buzz features high-quality materials and advanced technology, making it a comfortable and enjoyable place to spend time.

The cabin of the ID.Buzz is spacious and airy, with ample headroom and legroom for all passengers. The seats are upholstered in high-quality materials, with a choice of leather or cloth upholstery, depending on the trim level. The front seats are comfortable and supportive, with a range of adjustments to ensure a perfect driving position. The second-row seats are also spacious and comfortable, with plenty of legroom and adjustable backrests.

One of the most striking features of the ID.Buzz interior is the large, panoramic glass roof. This provides a stunning view of the sky and allows natural light to flood the cabin, creating a bright and open atmosphere. The roof also features an integrated sunshade, which can be used to block out the sun on hot days.

The dashboard of the ID.Buzz is dominated by a large touchscreen display, which provides access to the vehicle's infotainment system, climate controls, and other features. The touchscreen is highly responsive and easy to use, with crisp graphics and intuitive menus. The infotainment system also includes support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, allowing drivers to seamlessly integrate their smartphones with the vehicle.

In terms of trims, the ID.Buzz is expected to be available in a range of different versions, each with its own unique features and specifications. The exact trims available may vary depending on the market, but some of the expected options include the entry-level trim, which is likely to come with cloth upholstery and basic features, and the high-end trim, which may feature leather upholstery, advanced driver assistance technologies, and other premium features.

The Volkswagen ID.Buzz is available in two trim models: Life and Style

Entry-level Life models come with 19-inch alloy wheels, a digital cockpit, a 10-inch touchscreen navigation system, a rear-view camera, two-zone climate control and a removable storage box. There's also a long list of safety features, including autonomous emergency braking with cyclist and pedestrian detection.

Style models add 20-inch alloy wheels, 30-colour ambient lighting, LED matrix headlights and armrests on both sides of the front seats. It also adds what VW calls a multi-flex board, which brings the boot space to the rear seats' height when folded flat.

Power and Performance

The ID.Buzz is an electric vehicle, which means it runs on an electric motor rather than a gasoline engine. The electric motor in the ID.Buzz is capable of producing up to 369 horsepower, which is more than enough power for most drivers. This electric motor also provides instant torque, which means the ID.Buzz can accelerate quickly and smoothly.

In terms of performance, the ID.Buzz has a top speed of 99 mph and can go from 0 to 60 mph in just 5 seconds. This is impressive for a vehicle of its size and weight. The ID.Buzz also has a range of up to 300 miles on a single charge, which is more than enough for most daily commutes and weekend trips.

One of the unique features of the ID.Buzz is its modular battery system, which allows owners to upgrade the battery as technology improves. This means that even as battery technology advances, the ID.Buzz will still be able to keep up with the latest advancements and provide excellent range and performance.

The ID.Buzz also features advanced driver assistance technologies, including adaptive cruise control and lane departure warning, which help to improve safety and reduce driver fatigue. The interior of the ID.Buzz is also spacious and comfortable, with plenty of room for passengers and cargo.

Overall, the Volkswagen ID.Buzz offers an impressive combination of power, performance, and technology. With its impressive range, spacious interior, and advanced features, the ID.Buzz has the potential to be a popular choice for families and commuters alike.

Leasing vs Buying

Leasing a Volkswagen ID.Buzz might be a more cost-effective option compared to buying one outright due to the set monthly payments, variable mileage, low initial rental, and flexible contract lengths.

The in car navigation is really poor and every now and again a red light flashes and the car brakes even though I am not going to hit someone and it gives me a fright. Looks lovely and plenty of space inside so overall a good car
