Engine is to coarse, poor around town and country lanes. Tech is on and off regarding its performance.

The plug-in hybrid drivetrain works really well and the electric range is impressive. Refined engineering results in very smooth ride and good handling for a mid-size SUV. Very happy with the Tiguan

The car has ended up costing me way more than I anticipated. There’s been several major issues which are not covered by the warranty. I feel like I’ve been lumbered with a problematic vehicle with no way of resolving it without major expense to myself, I would never lease a car again.

Not happy with the in car screen, it doesn’t log and save information, we need to keep updating it!

Overly sensitive safety system even when vehicle is within control. Damaged vehicle provided on lease. Lease delayed. Electric issues affecting AC and other areas. Feature we love-massage seats.

Love the car due to its low BIK and space for the family. Only issue was the breakdown due to depleted battery due to a software update being done behind the scenes.

Elegance model is very comfortable and the tech makes long drives very relaxing. The battery is large and actually gives close to 70 miles in summer. Petrol engine doesn’t sound very nice and accelerates slower than the electric motor or sport mode (both working together). Boot is good but not great if you have more than one kid (Tayron may be a better option for boot space). Nothing is value for money these days, but I’m definitely enjoying this car.
