Kirstie Volkswagen Tiguan 1.5 eTSI 150 Elegance DSG MY24

I have been loyal to the VW brand for 30 years (my first car was a beetle, and since had multiple Passats, golfs, polos, tiguans and a transporter) but after this new Tiguan I would never have another. The auto anti-collision brake cannot be turned off and is dangerous- it has actually caused injuries by slamming the brakes on even though no collision is imminent. The brakes are really inconsistent and either don’t work or they jump into action and everyone inside the vehicle is heading for the windscreen. I can’t turn the heating / air con on or off without taking my eyes off the road and having to go through several screens on the dash computer. The electrics are not right, I have returned this car to vw 3 times in a year as it randomly tells me things are not working and shuts the whole system down, once I had to call the RAC out because it had locked the electronics and wouldnt start. The whole car feels like it’s trying to be too clever and can’t actually be overridden manually. I do regret leasing this car. That said, it is spacious and relatively cheap to run. I have only done 6k miles of my 8k allocation as I simply dont like driving it. Sorry for the bad review, I’m not a negative person, but this car is like a prototype that they didn’t bother to test before rolling it out. Good luck VW, I won’t be getting another after this experience.

I would never lease a vehicle from drivalia again car has spent more time in the garage than it has with me. Tried to get help and your company and drivalia won’t help so I need to take things further
